Haechan is the one with pink hair, and his nasal voice isn’t just something he does for singing. It’s his actual speaking voice. You can find Haechan in a crowd of kpop artists just talking. His speaking voice is very unique.

He usually does the high notes and just higher parts in general in nct dream and with his already naturally bright and nasal voice it makes his voice really stand out

This is SM signature. Group vocals, harmonies. Main rapper can sing, main vocal can rap. Melia was right, the most of the time members will pair, the other will sing higher Register and the other will do the lower. 15:22 First it was Taeil, his a main vocalist and Jaehyun, Lead vocalist. 2nd Doyoung, main vocalist and Johnny, lead rapper. All of them can sing. Taeyong, white hair is the leader his a also main rapper, main dancer and center. The guy in pink hair is Haechan his also a lead vocalist in 127 but main vocalist in NCT dream.

And what's with the perception that you can only be a main vocal when you do high notes w/c by the way jaehyun does too just like watch his forever only live performance or cover of can't take my eyes of you. Like mostly in 127 it is taeil or doyoung that gets the high notes and even with the case of haechan w/c does not really get the high notes in 127 but with dream if we put it in that perspective then jaehyun would almost not get the high notes.

fun fact: the guy in the leather jacket (3rd one from the right), doyoung, has said that in every recording session when he records his lines, he would always listen to it along with the recording of the member/s before or after his lines. and if his voice doesn't blend well next to them, he'll go back inside the booth and re-record his lines.

As someone who absolutely adores Taeil (guy with the tan shirt), your appreciation and analysis of his voice makes me happy! NCT 127 tends to release songs that aren't exactly "public friendly." And by that, I mean, how y'all mentioned the wide range of genres you heard, they're known most for their experimental songs. Because of that, many don't give them a chance when it comes to checking out the rest of their music. All the R&B songs showcased in the killing voice is normally b-sides and that's where they vocally shine. I'm glad Chase enjoyed their rap heavy/rocky/edm sounding songs because a lot of people don't or they find it hard to understand/get into! FYI (bc I've seen a couple comments excluding another main vocalist in the group): Jaehyun (the one in all black and has a low voice compared to the other members) is also a main vocalist and when the group debuted, him, Taeil, and Doyoung (guy wearing the leather jacket) were considered the trinity of main vocalists. Haechan (pink haired guy with nasally high voice) was a lead vocalist until in recent years, he improved so much that he's now considered a main vocalist as well. I constantly see a lot of ppl (fans included) leave Jaehyun out of discussions about the main vocal line of the group and it upsets me because the quality of his voice is so nice. I feel like he's not talked about because he doesn't really get many vocal parts in their recent songs anymore. Thanks for the reaction! Can't wait for part two :) Also hope to see more NCT on the channel!

I Love how you said at first how no one seems to stand out and that they're all equally good singers coz I do agree with that, they have an amazing harmony, but it's also because the leaders of the pack knows how to blend with the pack, especially Taeil and Doyoung, they can make it so that they wont overpower the others when necessary, but yep, love this reaction!! hope you can do more reactions to them like NCT 127 Neocity Seoul Live performances for Back 2 U, Timeless, Sun & Moon.. as a big fan of Dokyeom as well, NCT wont disappoint too~

I can’t praise enough for NCT127 but this group is an example on why we need 9 person in a group. Their vocal qualities are almost on par makes it much easier to distribute the lines to each other. Nobody overpowering anybody without specific reasons including the rap line too. Every members knows how to react to the mood in every songs and when their harmonies came out heavenly in every chorus they sang. Looking forward for you to react more on these talented boys on part 2 ^_^

Haechan (pink hair) always gives something to the NCT songs, which is why I always love his bridge parts because it brings that umph to the song that is already out of this world since NCT 127 songs are very experimental. All the voices are very distinctive to me, but Haechan just stands out the most to me and I can never get enouigh of it!

You actually were spot on! Not that they have the same voices or tones, but that (since they are from SM, a label known for artists with amazing vocal skills) they (both the vocalists and rappers in this group) have been trained really well on how to use their voices effectively. And since they all have a decent range, they are able to either go higher or lower depending on the song's vibe and whether they are aiming to sound like one or to emphasis certain voices.

What I love about NCT in general is their variety, both in voices and in genres. They adapt to so many styles and are willing to try really challenging or unusual sounds as well as delivering R&B or ballads or dance tracks or whatever. And here at Dingo they gave a really good tour of some of their biggest title tracks and some lesser known member and fan favourites. It's a great sampling but just the tip of the iceberg. Their blend is truly excellent and really showcased here, so much so that they got the nickname "boy's choir" after this first aired. For something a bit different, if you want to see the main vocalists flex their training and range you should check out their 2020 live MAMA performance of From Home!

Its SM style, they are strong with vocalist, even their Rapper sing really2 well. Each one of them had different type of sound if you listen to them individually, or when the vocalist past coming up, but when singing together their voice blend very well. They have this ability to control their vocal or sound to make a wonderful harmonize together. Singing in unison is SM's specialty. I hope you can react to more of NCT and SM's artist and solois like ExO, RV, Aespa, Taeyeon, Baekhyun Chen, etc. SM truly top tier when producing high quality vocalist and music.

Taeil is criminally underrated. I wish he were more appreciated. I may not be part of the fandom but I've LOVED NCT from the get-go, the vocals, and the rapping (particularly Mark), are exceptional.

the guy with the pink hair is named haechan! i absolutely love him. he gets criticized a lot for lacking technique because he’s a more “stylistic” vocalist but i do not understand that at all! to me, he has one of the most unique vocal tones in kpop. i always enjoy listening to him! he’s one of my favorite kpop vocalists overall. his parts always impact me the most. i think of his opening line in nct 127’s song heartbreaker as a moment where he shines/stands out the most.

It's so interesting how you said that you feel like they were hand-piecked to sing with each other because NCT 127 is a part of a much bigger group called NCT with 23 members. There is another unit called NCT U who's concept is just that! It's not a fixed group of members because they switch guys based on how they match the song and each other. she's not completely wrong. 127 is the first fixed unit and the core vocalists (taeil, jaehyun, haechan + later doyoung) have remained unchanged. over time johnny, yuta and jungwoo's vocals found their place in the songs and of course mark and taeyong have been holding the rap sections down since day 1.

127's discography is INCREDIBLE and full of r&b gems! their harmonization is indeed one of their strongest suits. and fun fact, that pink-haired guy you pointed out as someone who "uses his voice like an instrument" is actually the youngest in the group! his name is haechan and he's phenomenal! he debuted really young (16, he is now 22) and worked his way up to becoming one of the most recognizable and dare i say necessary voices in the team. another fun fact is that he belongs to another unit along with mark (that black-haired rapper)! this might be too complicated to squeeze in in one comment but nct as a whole has an endless member + multiple units concept and in haechan's case he is both a permanent (and very important) member in nct 127 and nct dream. he's amazing in both groups but i think his lead vocal abilities really get highlighted in nct dream. such a shame they don't have a killing voice video yet, but i'm glad you both thoroughly enjoyed 127's! and i haven't even gushed about taeil or doyoung, which were the other phenomenal vocalists you both pointed out at some point in the reaction. and of course the rest of the members. maybe in the next part!

For the first duo, the guy on the left in the tan shirt (Taeil) was singing the higher part, while the one on the far right end (Jaehyun) was doing the lower harmony. For the second time the guy in the leather jacket (Doyoung) sang the higher part and the one on the far left end of the row (Johnny) took the lower part :)

"They blend well together" This is what i wanted to hear. NCT caught my sight at the first time i saw/heard them because they are a group that works together. They are very similar in the voices, but its different, everybody has ur own shine and space, and that's the magic, because when they become together, they BLEND WELL TOGETHER. Ahhhh I WASN’T EXPECTING THIS REACTION 😩 but since you’ve dived in, I recommend you to listen to their subunits NCT U From Home Rearranged Version and Coming Home. Gahd these two songs *always* give me the chills. You’ve mentioned Taeil (the one in beige shirt) and Haechan (pink hair) which is indeed main vocalists in this group. Watch out for Doyoung (the one wearing black jacket and shirt, third from right) and Jaehyun (furthest right) because these two will blow your mind as well 💚 If there’s one thing not many group does is harmonizing (kind of SM’s group signatures). I mean if you got 10 people, why not harmonize beautifully ?

After killing voice, a korean journalist said that NCT 127 is male choir in disguised. In killing voice recording, the music only can heard by the member through their earpiece so the staff around only hear them in accapela. And the killing voice staff really love them and even shared their killing voice's behind. Only Taeyeon and NCT 127 has that. So thank you for NCT 127 and maybe you can react to Taeyeon's killing voice. She is really good singer too

the singing together and blending so well is a signature of their company SM and all of their groups are really known for it youve reacted to one of their groups before EXO. and NCT is known for having a wide range of music which they should having as many members as they do lol, by the way this is only the 127 part of the group they have 2 other units Dream and U also a chinese group called Wayv(though they are part of the main groups too) so this is only a piece of what they can do.

i love how much y’all talk about and notice haechan’s voice in this 😭😭 (pink hair/nasal voice guy). i’m SO passionate about his voice bc i don’t feel that he has recognition for it whatsoever, like people haven’t even noticed or even acknowledged it but to me he’s very technical and skillful and a brilliant singer. just amazing voice. so i love when other people actually notice it 😭
