Loved your Gravity reaction, loved this one too, and hope you enjoy the record as a whole! Your face on that first chorus was a great reminder as to why we make music in the first place 😊✌🏻

Ideal reaction video. Regular pauses, listening back on parts, actually looking like you're engaging with the music and not just nodding along to it, not to mention adding so much insight with your own knowledge of music and songwriting. Thank you for articulating what makes this song so good

Mate honestly your smile at the first drop made it for me. Thank you so much for the reaction and for the shout out! I’ll try not to request too many. But always here to suggest more! Big love man!

Chase, I really appreciate you. Thank you so much for even taking time filming and editing the video within the span of less than 24 hours we dropped our comments. I'm so glad you enjoyed this one. You asked if all the tracks in the new album sounded like Afterlife, well most but not all sounded like this albeit the aesthetics remain the same. And since you like their sound, I'd be happy to recommend some other bands that are similar in vein and that you've never done on your channel before. I'll send a DM if you'd like to explore more. Damn I'm vibing with your enthusiasm here 😆✌

Hell yes, Chase. That is a great surprise. I'm glad that you are coming back to this band. Totally forgot about them when I set up my Spotify last year, but KZbin was kind enough to suggest this music video to me. Love the new album, love this song especially and hope for more Holding Absence on your channel.

Fun fact: Their song "Purge" features Sleep Token's singer Vessel on piano as well as a tiny bit of backing vocals towards the end of the song.

If you liked this, give the last 3 tracks (an intro and outro to a 7 minute song) a listen all at once, its powerful and definitely will be a different kind of reaction for the channel - Phantoms, Mourning Song, Title Track by Holding Absence

Mourning Song is incredible. I'm not usually into long songs and this went on without noticing it was that long. Ah! Pick some tissues Chase, because wow 🥺

Great reaction, I'd love to see you react to In Circles by them, was one of the other singles of this new album and is probably my favourite (and is a softer track than usual), I think you'd really love it. Can't wait to see what else you've got coming up ✌️

A band for you to consider is Wishbone Ash and their song The King WIll Come from the album Argus. They are believed to be the first band to use a dual lead guitar and this prog album was released in 1972. I don't believe it has ever been remastered so you have the original compression to about 30 db of headroom but it is still a masterpiece.

Wow, I really liked those vocals! Awesome song. Love finding new music in your channel. I know there is just too much music out there, but I would like to keep suggestion the band Vintersea for a future reacción...they are just stuck in my head and I want everyone to give them a try 😅, especially since they are kind of starting yet, and are not that big, but not for lack of talent, trust me!

Hey Chase. Love your reviews! I just discovered a band recently, and I think they need some recognition. They’ve been around quite awhile, but were on a hiatus until recently, and dropped a new album. This band has a lot of pain, anger, and pure emotion among them. And that definitely resonates to their music. This song gave me goosebumps so hard I thought they were going to come out of my skin. Please check out “Signal Fire” by Devil Sold His Soul. Off their most recent album called “Loss” They deserve some love. Thanks man

I love your analysis, man. But: Personally I‘d prefer you reacting to a song in its entirety and THEN breaking everything down. That would be the best to feel the song without the pauses. Big fan of you, keep going!

Hey there. I hear you. I really do but. I promise you that you wouldn't get the same depth of analysis on a first listen from that. It's a coin toss and I hear you on it but this is the best way to do what I want to achieve what I'm looing to do.

Quick Q. When you revisit a band for a new song like in this case, you do go and hear the old song to get a grasp of what kind of band it was or to compare it with the new song? or do you prefeer to go blind to it to go as unbiased as you can considering the situation? Thanks and keep up the amazing content.
