Watching Sam Darnold in the Vikings/Rams game last night really gave me an appreciation for what Jayden Daniels does for his offensive line with the ability to escape and getting rid of the ball quickly. Immobile QBs like Darnold put so much pressure on the offensive line, especially when he holds the ball for an eternity and has lanes to escape a crumbling pocket but just stands there like a statue and takes drive-killing sacks.
@brandondillman58416 күн бұрын
We saw it last year with Sam Howell. Dude got sacked almost 70 times and led the NFL in INT's. Jayden isn't fazed. He doesn't care that his line can't block and his receivers aren't getting separation right away. He'll buy time and find a way to get it done. Hopefully, he doesn't have to put the team on his back much longer and they build up the roster around him.

Stop with the comparisons to other quarterbacks. With his limited amount of weapons, and basically an expansion team roster he still has won 5 walk-off games and setting rookie records with each game he's played. The NFL needs to crack down on the late hits on him as well...he's the future of the league and their ratings are dropping dramatically That hit out-of-bounds in Tampa game was the most egregious attempt to hurt the kid I've ever seen. He should have been ejected for targeting and late hit out of bounds. Just like "no class" Dallas also tried to end his career in a meaningless game and DQ was smart enough to take him out early.
