It’s 18,500 for my 23 ZH2 got it for close to 3k flat and is now at the frame shop. Bout a grand in parts for putting it back together. The restriction is going to be 1100 and who knows for the inspection

Wow, that's interesting that Georgia requires you to document what you actually did to repair a salvage title vehicle. I've done something like this project in Texas with a bike that was MUCH worse off than yours, and they didn't seem to care what had been wrong with it originally when I went to do the title. They just wanted to see it had passed a regular annual state safety inspection, and obviously I had to pay the taxes and insurance.

One other thing inspectors ask for is if the part is used ( off another car) they ask for the vin to be on the receipts. Just so you have proof parts aren't stolen.

I have a wrecked bike with a cracked frame everything else is in good condition if I replace the frame which I do not have any documentation on this bike as it was sold as is at a house sale .I ran the Vin number said it had one owner if I replace the frame with a salvage title the motor and having no bill of sale from purchasing the motor cause any issues with inspection/registration note I do have receipts for all the parts I Purchased Including the new frame.

Not when I sell a rebuilt title bike. Sure, many are too scared to by a rebuilt title bike but I just wait for the one buyer that realizes it's just as good as any other bike. As long as you're not in dire need of cash, you can suffer through the anally retentive types that should just go to the dealer and pay through the nose for a "certified" pre-owned bike, lol.

The last 5 salvage title bikes I have bought have had absolutely zero mechanical damage other than some had clip on and levers bent. I mean no frame, wheel, swing arm or fork damage at all. We are talking purely cosmetic, fairing damage. Why do these bikes get branded for life with a salvage and then rebuilt titles for merely cosmetic damage?

Hey man. I’m about to buy a salvage bike from an auction. It literally…. Only has a scratch on on one of the forks and a scratch on the engine cover. My question is, you said you’ve purchased 5 bikes in similar condition, no mechanical damage, when you went to get them inspected, what happens if you don’t have any receipts because the bike didn’t need any repairs? Do they force you to repair the scratch??? What if I have no receipts because nothing needed repairs? Do they just pass me anyway? Let me know please!!!

I live in Arkansas and have owned many Ducati 916's and 996's and I have not seen one bit of difference in my insurance from my 996's. One is a 99 Biposto with a "clean" title and the other is a 99 with a rebuilt title and my premiums are almost the same. They are just less than a dollar or so off.
