This channel will evolve in the end to somekind of late show with few segments: bag reviews, productivity tips, random song, rambling and for sure some great guests. Make my word.

Chase - great work as always. (The lighting is great in this vid). I really appreciate the ramble here. I have what many would call a temper, and I have been trying to figure out how to contain myself. I have recently thought it is more frustration with myself for causing or allowing situations that I didn't intend, thus anger. The tie in to fight or flight is intriguing. Also, a reminder to check out one of your previously referenced books - The Lion Tracker's Guide to Life. 13:58 All going in my little notebook... thanks, man!

Damn! Came for a bag review and got a great one PLUS a really cool deeper discussion on spirituality. I have never heard mystery described as a higher power, and it actually blew my flippin mind. I, too, have spent a lot of time exploring different spiritual paths. Ram Dass was my starting off point. (I used to do a LOT of psychedelics 😂😂) I love Rumi. By far my favorite Sufi poet. I love buddhism, hinduism, the various pagan traditions practiced by indigenous peoples across the world. There's so much beauty to be found in them. At their essence (to my extremely limited cultural understanding of the many different traditions I've explored) the message is the same. "Love others and don't be a jerkass." My dad used to say that religion is like a house with different colored light bulbs in each room. In every room, the people pray and do good deeds and they "know" that god is (x color of light bulb in the room.) But it's the same energy that powers each bulb. Sometimes it takes a different fequency (color) of light to understand an aspect of something that we're looking at. It's why being a polytheist/agnostic/ insert whatever exploratory word is so lovely. I can find the language that makes me go "oh. I get it." Anywho. That is a long comment that I didn't intend to write. Thanks for the reminder to remember.

Did you ever try the old Evernote Commuter Bag? (Also sold as Abrasus Triangle Bag) I loved that bag SO much, especially as a concept, and always wished someone would iterate on that concept with better materials / execution (mine broke twice)

Can you do an episode on a Bag within a bag. Like I travel with my Wandrd 21l...but I want a packable sling to use when I get to the hotel to carry my camera for the day and some stuff.

I don't I have a practice for being spiritual. However, the closest to it is long cardio without music or podcasts. Just running or rowing for an hour+ with just thoughts. It's amazing to me. In a world of everything grabbing my attention it nice to be with myself for a bit.

ohhhhh, that's an advanced practice :) big ups for that one.

You should check out Orthodoxy. Our liturgy- “church”- is a communion with God. It’s literally the realization of salvation and heaven. Here is a mindblower, the actual Christian teaching is that heaven is eternity on earth in the restored Eden in our resurrected and immortal bodies. Also, Islam learned their chants, prostrations and mysticism from Orthodoxy. The west- Catholics and therefore Protestants- lost these practices and the mystery therein. Also we sing our whole liturgy and it’s not only beautiful but invigorating. A Melkite or antiochian church will get you the Arabic rooted practice which is utterly amazing- like being transported to the source.

It’s also uniquely masculine unlike most western Christian churches but not militaristic but primal.
