Dude I loved the video. Okay so right now my problem is me feeling like I’m rushing the air. Like I keep turning to early and tipping forward or coming off scooter. Any advice?
@Jamie_Da_Gamechanger5 жыл бұрын
@@ChaseRost okay so I keep flying off my scooter, like when I go to air, and im coming faster up ramp, I am like going over coping and scooter flys out from under me. It kinda feels lie im not pulling up fast enough, but im not sure.
@ChaseRost5 жыл бұрын
Jamie Frey sounds like you might want to try it lower than you currently are. Try to get comfortable just doing the low 90s/ 180s on the quarter. Once you are comfortable with the lower airs, it makes the higher airs feel easier and a lot more controllable. Also make sure you are jumping up when you get to the top. This will help keep you in the quarter. Hope that helps! Definitely let me know if your still having trouble with them
@Jamie_Da_Gamechanger5 жыл бұрын
@@ChaseRost okay I get that. I think im waiting for coping and when it pops im not jumping so its getting over coping like you said, because its easier to bar air because I think do it just like I do on the ground and actually jump. thanks again.

So u probably don’t remember me but u answered one of my question on how to tail whip and I’ve been scared about hitting the copping and falling so do I jump before hitting the copping I really wanna know u always respond so thank u for the video also😁
@ChaseRost2 жыл бұрын
I sure do you remember you! I remember you telling me you landed your tailwhip about 5 months ago after hanged your off the deck a pinch more 🔥 Now for airs, there are a couple ways that you can hit the ramp. the first way is to jump right before the copping to miss the copping entirely. (i do this on ramps that have a super aggressive copping that sticks out to far) but on ramps that have a properly set copping that just barely overhangs, you actually wanna use it to your advantage to help pop you up even higher. the copping will help keep you inside the quarter so you can launch up even higher and utilize all of the speed you are carrying. So what i recommend is at first it is ok to jump before the copping to get an air. but after you get comfy on the quarter try to just barely start tap the copping on your way up and see how much higher you can get. hope this helps explain it a bit more, definitely lmk if you still need any help.

I can air good I just can’t get as high as you any tips on height?
@ChaseRost4 жыл бұрын
Best way to go higher is all in the pump. Off your scooter I would recommend working on leg strength and box jumps. On your scooter I would recommend getting as comfortable as you can on the quarter you are trying to boost and then try to use every bit of the transition on the way up to car your speed and make your air higher

Or on the flat ground which ever way you naturally do it
@ChaseRost4 жыл бұрын
since you ride ski, id say its up to you. more than liking there is one way that feel more natural than the other. Another way that can help you decide is to look at the way you kick a tailwhip around. which way do you whip your scooter deck? and how do you catch it? do u land ski, reg, or goofy?
@roberthyldahl41684 жыл бұрын
is it easier to learn on a small pipe or one like the one that you are on
@ChaseRost4 жыл бұрын
I personally would recommend a large halfpipe for a few reasons. When you are on a large halfpipe or quarter pipe, it lets you catch air without going over the quarter. also on a big halfpipe like the one i'm on, it lets you go back and forth, slowly gaining more air and getting comfy at your own pace. but the only reason i would say a smaller quarter could be helpful is because it doesn't go as high which means if you fall, its less of a fall. also on a smaller quarter it technically is faster to get above coping if thats your main goal. i'd recommend trying to diversify and do it on both ramps to overall learn the best.

@ChaseRost4 жыл бұрын
Scooter Gamer haha the backwards fork helps with speed wobbles, aswell will a few other tricks like nose mannys and footjams. And if you are regular but spin left, that’s totally alright, it just means that a lot of your tricks are going to be done downside or frontside. Lil bit harder but a lot more unique. I’d recommend trying to focus on spinning to the right that way tricks in the air will be 100 a lot easier in the future.
