i think the wizard who was casting founding rain of stars was actually pretty smart, since most people try to run down the ranged caster first, it would have given them some cover for the moon wind-up. if blasphemous billy had stood behind or to the side of his friend and casted incants (which i never see people doing with an offhand seal even though that weapon's aow scales best from faith) that could've been a good blender. or they could've used it as a chance to heal or get some buffs off. the ideal team really is an int build and an arcane build that dabbles in faith. you get the best of all worlds: buffs, debuffs, heals, status, area denial, range, melee . . . and why more casters don't carry eternal darkness is beyond me. it's such a powerful tool for nullifying other casters and forcing them into melee combat. i like to have it in invasions because you can cast it in any choke point or when you suspect a team is camping a ladder or an elevator, and it makes it harder for them to see what you're doing on the other side of it. and i don't see enough casters taking advantage of repositioning tools like bloodhound's step. yes, they nerfed it, but it's still useful for getting out of trouble when someone with a big bonk is rushing you down.

Family Heads is a great tool that I like to use on my int build. the stat requirements are perfect for int builds like this one and the ash is great to put pressure on people.

What is crazy good about Int/mage builds is that your infused melee weapons are just as strong as physical versions since the defense nerfs. They are very, very close in damage output. When you have the spells a mage has, your infused melee weapons should do SIGNIFICANTLY less damage than a physical build. A lot of the time, you can do more damage because there’s less magic defense now. Black flame protection is very common, so a magic/cold spinning slash/sword dance/barbaric roar will do almost as much, and sometimes more damage than the physical build that the AOW actually scales with. What then makes things a little unfair is that the mage has Lusats in their pocket with 1-shot potential. I’d never PvP’d as an int build, always physical until very recently. I just cloned my Dex level 180 build and changed all the infusions. I duel a lot, and I didn’t notice much difference in damage output at all-hardly noticeable. Almost everybody uses BFP if they're able. Adding every spell in the book and now I’m winning significantly more than I was. Easy mode to be honest… To sum it up, since you have all that raw damage from spells available, your infused melee weapons shouldn’t be able to compete with their physical brothers and sisters, shouldn’t even be close.

Hello friend, could you make a build of a Gelmir Knight? It's practically a build that no one has done before and it's very good if you combine it with Magma Sorceries. You know, with Gelmir Knight Armor and everything, they carried the Distinguished Greatshield and as a weapon, since it would be very obvious to use common greatswords, I thought about using the Magma Blade or the Blasphemous Blade, and curiously, even though no one talks about this, it is almost a fact that The original wielder of the mythical Serpent-Hunter was precisely a Gelmir Knight since they were the first to sacrifice themselves trying to stop Rykard (Which is the reason why there are no longer any alive in the game) Regardless of which weapon you choose use while you keep the armor and the Distinguished Greatshield the cosplay Build would be respected. I repeat, look on KZbin, almost no one has made this build and you could practically be one of the first to make a video, since you are an expert in making cosplay builds I thought you would be the ideal person to make this build. Chase, would you consider trying a build utilizing dual Cleanrot Knight's swords? I noticed you previously created a build focusing on status effects with dual Anspur rapiers, but you don't actually inflict the Scarlet Rot with them. The Cleanrot Knight's sword not only offers significantly more range, but I've found it to be much more effective when focusing solely on Poison and Bleed damage, paired with both of the Exultation talismans for double Poisonous Mist as Ashes of War.

He's done it before. Chase as an actual wizard with Sorceries is terrifying. Makes really good use of the Carian sword sorceries and Gavel, and is kind of a beast at free aiming Cannon of Haima. He also did one with double buffed Night spells.

So like, legitimate question here Chase; how come it seems like you rarely can tell who the host is as opposed to the phantoms? I get not seeing the name of the host upon loading in, but when you kill a player, the color of the smoke that envelops their character model indicates whether they are the host or not (grey vs gold). Is it just a detail that flies by in the heat of the moment?
