Clearly black flame is stronger than I think, I made a statement that I wanted the black flame effect to last as long as bloodflame purely because I like the visual look and someone told me to kill myself and “never touch a game with my shit sense of power scaling” I don’t give a fuck about how strong it is, I couldn’t give a shit if black flame was changed to deal damage to myself as long as it lasted longer than like 7 seconds when using the incantation.

Here's an absolutely terrible sorcery build, but one that I've still had a lot of fun with (mostly because Elden Ring spells are just good by default): Albinauric Staff + whatever in your off-hand. 35 Intelligence, 25 Faith (mostly for minimum requirements), rest into Arcane and whatever Vitality/Mind/Endurance you can afford. Thorn sorceries are the obvious pick, but the Int & Faith also let you run spells like Ancient Death Rancor, among some more general "good stuff" sorceries like Carian Slicer & Piercer. You also have access to the Dragon Communion Seal and a really solid handful of incantations (mainly looking at the Dragon Communion & Frienzied Flame spells). Finally, for whatever it's worth, you *_do_* also have access to Arcane-scaling infusions, though you're already spread pretty thin, stats-wise, so you'll occasionally struggle to find solid weapons. Anyway, it's a jack-of-all-trades mage build to a fault. It really doesn't compare to something like a dedicated 80 Intelligence build, but it makes up for it with flexibility. I honestly first went into it just because I liked how the Albinauric Staff looks---but the build _did_ eventually grow on me.
