soul memory was the best matchmaking in all dark souls games you could put on soul farming gear and never get invaded until the game was properly balanced around level 250

When i am summoned as a white or blue, i help the host wreck their invader(s) 95% of the time fairly quickly. The other 5 are decent battles. If I'm fortunate enough to be summoned to help against Chase, it's amazing the difference in fighting someone of his caliber.

Hey Chase, on Xbox I see a LOT of estus canceling murky handscythe users and I’m not sure how to “counter” them. I don’t want to resort to perfecting my usage of either of those because in order to do that I would have to practice in PvP and be a scumbag (which isn’t something I ever plan on doing). Do you (or anyone else) have any tips to help me out here?

Simply put, I just dont think theres much you can do against the murky handscythe. The weapon is literally broken, there was a mistake coding it that fromsoft never fixed, and because of that its op as shit. It’s literally a bugged weapon, I don’t even feel bad if I lose to a murky user cause I know they’re garbage with any weapon that requires any amount of skill.

Edit: this is all wrong (well it’s correct but only for 1 hand which is sub optimal for splitleaf), thanks chase! 36:34 I actually did some testing and at 40/40 str/dex a sharp splitleaf is the way to go weirdly enough (only by 5 ar tho so I don’t think it matters that much)

so you need to make sure you are looking at the 2 handed damage, heavy infused on a 40/40 2 handed does 546 vs sharp 522. 1 handed heavy does 510 vs sharp 515. however you always want to be using the splitleaf 2 handed so heavy is the way to go if you have a 40/40 str dex build. refined does 503 1 handed and 532 2 handed.

Out of curiosity what’s your characters stats. Seems like you can use almost any weapon. Does that affect damage, or is your build just really well optimized?

Quality is 40 str and 40 dex. You use weapons that scales with both and you are able to use pure dex and str weapons decently. It’s the best of both worlds but you are most likely unable to use armor with really good poise and absorption due to stat placements.

like i said this inventory was from a sl90 buildthat had much more strength then dex that i leveled to meta for the stream. I was lazy and didnt change some of the infusements because i dont care about a small difference in ar for the rapier class weapons.

Yeah i talked about this. This inventory was from a sl90 build that has less dex so refined was better originally and i didnt take the time to change them to gain 7 ar for example on the crow quills. I dont need that 7 ar to win all my invasions as you can see 😎

Don't play at meta level, most of the good players are at SL 125

@@tikurai4970 Well the max level is 802 but it's nearly impossible to get there You'll finish the base game at SL90 probably, and you might get to 100 maybe 110 in the DLCs. I'd recommend stopping at 90 or 100 if you want to avoid the meta level. In DS3, your level determines who you get matched with for PvP. If you invade, you'll invade a host around your level, and when you summon phantoms they'll be close to your level too. So if you want to avoid the experienced players (who are at sl125 or higher) then don't level past 100.

Like +- 10 or 20 Levels, because some players already seem to be op in the fights against me with different weapons, Elements, tons of healing etc xD Oh and because you said the dlcs.. one Dlc begins mid Story? Should it be played after the main Story? Because you could play it like after the crystal boss i guess in this Zombie church part

You shouldn't be able to change weapons and gear while enemies are near. Pretty lame. Changing rings, changing weapons 4 times all while in the fight. Pretty stupid that you can do this.

Nah, it raises the skill ceiling. Trading being able to roll, block, attack, heal, etc in order to swap rings and weapons is fair. I understand how it's not a good thing for unskilled players though.

@@_Atlas. Raising the skill ceiling or not it's still retarded seeing players change weapons 12 times during a fight. Imagine watching two people sword fighting, and mid fight one fighter goes into his backpack and puts on a new ring. 🤣

Has been years since Dark Souls 3 pvp was fun. Thanks to the Elden Ring Hype, the swamp and cathadral are full of noobs, that are completly helpless against the Exile Greatsword
