Remember Janet had been blacklisted for 20 years because of the Super Bowl incident. She has some of the biggest hits that don’t get radio or streaming play

She was blacklisted from 2004-2008, not 20 years. But the blacklisting was crucial

@@essenceofsean2527 This year 2024 makes it 20 years. Unfortunately Janet still is being blacklisted to a certain extent even today.. it's just not as obvious as it was before. Janet released the excellent "Unbreakable" album in 2015 and her most recent single "Made For Now" in 2018. Both projects had great music but was ignored on pop radio and other radio stations. "No Sleep" did well on the adult r&b charts #1 and "Made For Now" was number #1 on the dance charts. Les Moonves is not the only one who is guilty of blacklisting Janet Jackson.. many of those same guilty people are still in the industry. They may have moved up to other positions within the same company or move to other companies in the same industry. Regardless, Janet Jackson still shines!

You should check out Runway by Janet Jackson. That video fit perfectly with the song. Missy is inducted in the rock and roll hall of fame, and Busta will be performing for the first time at Essence Fest this year. They definitely have been getting their flowers. Good reaction
