Great reaction. Def their lyrics hit on many levels. One of the cool things about them. They are mostly singing about their relationship with BTS and ARMY but it was written to obviously be about relationships of many kinds! In the recent book reflecting on their 10 years, they revealed that with this song, they all had a lot of personal growth. They talked about how hard their lives were in putting out songs and albums and tours and everything else at the time so it all felt a bit fake to them, but in doing it, they also learned that they were trying to be the best version of them for us and in turn, they said it actually made them the best versions of themselves. 💜Also where it says "Save Me" on the back wall with V and all the cell phones, when you flip that upside down, they wrote it in a way that it says "I'm Fine" which is another fire song on the album. Along the sentiment of how we say I'm fine even when we're not. The Love Yourself albums are a journey of self reflection and trying to learn how to love ourselves. Plus... this video is part of the crazy BU so it has a lot of weird stuff fairly unrelated to the song. But that is a whole other mad little dark, sad, and unresolved rabbit hole for another time.

Great reaction! Keep in mind that BTS rarely sing about romantic love, usually it's about self love, or love for ARMY. In this case, maybe fake on-line love from "fans" as depicted by cell phones blinking, and lots of floating hearts?? Music is an art and art is subjective, so I like your interpretation too. J Hope laying on top of those snickers bars is a reference to the BU(Bantang Universe) a story that runs through some song lyrics, or objects within MV's, webtoon, Books etc etc. However I also see another connection and I wonder if other's see it. When you are caught up in 'fake love' were you change everything that is you for another because you don't value yourself you haven't learnt to accept and love/take care of yourself so you can't really love anyone else that includes your partner you can turn to other ways to try and fill that gap. For some it's turning to drinking more that what his good for them, other's it's spending their money of useless things or over eating especially sweet things like cake, chocolate. It's just something that hit me the very first time I saw the the 'Fake Love' MV. There are so many double meanings you can take from the imagery.
