Chasing 10 Budd RDC's on GMRC 263

Hi All, I am the owner of of AllEarth Rail and the RDC's are in Barre being fixed up to be road ready. We have 5 cars painted green and ready for service. I want all of Vermont to benefit from these cars running service between our communities but am delayed by a lack of political will by the state to get them into service. I own the hardware but others will have to operate them. As a Vermonter, I want these beautiful cars to run the rails everyday here as a replacement for the car to get around locally. Sadly they may end up in other states that share my vision of community rail unless our leaders wake up to the future of transportation.

Those cars are in exception condition. The almost look brand new. Love that jointed rail sound!

They are also beautiful inside as well as DART renovated all of them with very nice blue upholstery. It felt like velvet sitting on them...

These are the old RDC's that ran on the TRE(Trinity Railway Express} Between Dallas, Texas and Fort Worth, Texas. I am going to miss them.

Freddie Burleson yes I remember riding them but they sold them due to overheating issues any speed over 32 would over heat them so the sold them

Yah and shortly after, they used these for the DCTA (Carrollton, tx to Denton, tx) trains until the new DCTA Stadler cars came in.

I don't believe it Texas Trinity Railway Express finally sold their Budd car Fleet I certainly hope that they'll be put to good use and I am certainly going to miss those cars on the Trinity Railway Express

The rail cars are going to Montpelier Vermont for a new private rail service from Montpelier to Burlington VT they were bought from Texas transit

Those RDC TRE cars used to be used for the DCTA A Train after tre got rid of most of them. If you search up DCTA A Train you will find those very cars so in other words, ive been on those RDC cars😀😀😀😀

Freddie Burleson Well, it would be nice to ride on ane again but, the DCTA A-Train has the Stadler(From Switzerland) GTW Diesel trains(in which are really quiet, nice and smooth).

Australian has the Budd Car (CB1 and CB2), sadly the CB 3 was in a fatal level crossing, killing a passenger and the driver. Is there anyone that can contact me in relation to the building and servicing of the Budd Cars. The CB 1 has been totally restored and the CB 2 may be acquired by myself if I can gain financial help to restore it and also gain servicing of the train, this is Australia last CB train in its rail history.

I remember seeing these car's in the North Walpole Yard for a number of weeks before they just up and vanished one day. There was a lot of excitement about the possibility of commuter rail service in the state, but when most towns in Southern Vermont learned they were being "left out" of this whole deal there was a lot of resentment towards Montpelier and the private company footing the bill for the cars. I was even a bit excited myself, the rumors of a second track being laid next to the mainline that runs through Southern Vermont was cool. But given Montpelier often forgets we exist down here, I doubt we'll ever see it.
