I'm excited to learn this one! I liked that you put some of it in slow motion. It really helped me to understand the strum pattern. I know it's possible to change the speed of KZbin videos, but I don't always do it, especially for just one part of a video. Wonderful that you did it for me! Thanks :)

So happy that it helped! Thanks for the feedback. It really helps me when I’m making my future videos to ad in the elements that people find the most helpful. Thank you for watching, and I hope you have a great day.

I love this song. This is a great song to learn. I've never had to stretch my hand that far before. I feel like this is really helping me start to advance. AND you are teaching us to use the entire neck! YAY! I am extremely slow on this right now but I will keep working on it! The tip about how to use the metronome to speed up slowly is very helpful. I just cannot say enough good things about your tutorials. Everything about them is great. Thank you so much!

I don’t play ukulele but I’ve been playing guitar for a while. The chord shapes are similar, you have bar chords on the bottom, then you have chord shapes on the top, like having a capo on guitar. You’re very good at teaching.

Great version, and might I add my appreciation for your chord charts and finger picking sheets in your description. For ages I didn't even realise they were there and I've been finding them online, copy and pasting them to word, spend ages laying them out correctly and then printing, with yours I can just click on the link with my phone and print them straight off its so quick and easy and for you to offer these for free already perfectly laid out and ready to go is amazing so thank you :)

A great song and I still believe is magic how everyone can play the E chord like that, I just can't bend my finger to press only 3 string, anyway great tutorial as always Katie

A gentle Level Up, yeah!Thanks for all the interesting multilayered techniques in this beautifully gentle song. Appreciate your going slow in the leveling up. The 7th to 2nd fret finger stretch, jumpings, didn't know my fingers could stretch that far. Actually went from my tenor Sun Star to the soprano Flight so my fingers could grasp the concept. I learned Power chords today, woohoo, great for future rock and roll ukeing :) Helpful too, you actually slowing down your tutorial within the video for that one section. This is like three tutorials in one with all these cool techniques to learn. Thanks for these teachings Katie. Your ukulele has a very nice understated elegance to it. Classy uke played by a classy lady in our class today. Sunny Saturdays to you Katie 🙏

I really appreciate your feedback. It really helps to see what is working and what I should continue to do in the future. The slow motion portion was a last minute decision, but I’m glad that I did it because it helped. I know that if I had a tenor for tia song, it would’ve been a big stretch, so I understand. I’m glad that you liked the different elements and found the accessible. Sometimes I wonder if I’m adding too much.
@arc11055 жыл бұрын
Hi @@OneMusicSchool you are very thoughtful with your tutorials, adding that slow motion section was an inspired idea. A last minute decision? Cool, it was like adding just one more Smartie to a gingerbread house to make it perfect. Personally I like these videos packed with your knowledge nuggets, they are a nice balance when mixed with your easier random riff type mini videos. Good for the musical workout, always best to have hard days practice with easy lighter recovery days of play. Plus they're great now you are posting once a week. Gives us time to review, review, review. Basically I like both, simple beginner vids and these challenging leveling up vids as well. It's nice at times to having a simple salt & pepper flavor and other times a complex Chinese five spice video, both are appealing. Variety is the spice of life. What ever you make, I always enjoy your Chef Specials. (Just had a huge feast, so foods on the brain😁) Happy day🎶💕🎶

LOVE LOVE LOVE it! This is exactly the kind of challenge I was hoping for when I pledged your Patreon. I've been working if for a while but need to take.a break to rest that stretched hand. Maybe I'll change over from the tenor to the soprano! Ha! Also - just so you know and definitely not a complaint - I received the email about the video yesterday, but the link didn't work. I just decided to wait until today. Is that something you might just be able to post directly on the Patreon site? Just an idea. Thanks for all the work that went into this tutorial. Much appreciated.

I dislike the Emaj chord enough to transpose the song to a different key. :-) The E is one of the more difficult chords for me to get right. It's the way you bar the 3 strings without muting the fourth. My finger isn't very good at that. And, of course, my 3 fingers don't all fit on the 4th fret to do it that way...

At least the finger picking on this song is not very difficult.
