Very nice shot on the bridge at the Dells and the pacing was nice and smooth. You must have had a jetpack to keep up with it as it sure kept moving. Excellent head-on at Sturtevant to really feel the speed. Thanks for the coverage

What a treat!!! Are the diesels helping? How do they synchronized them? What was route?

The diesels are relief units for 2816 in case it breaks down, they also supply power to the coaches. The train went from Calgary-Mexico City to

I really appreciate the invitation, and wish him a very happy birthday! It sounds like it will be a great day of fun-filled memories. Unfortunately we are hosting out of town guests and will not be able to attend. Please be sure to wish him a very happy birthday from me!

I don't know what crew she has but they are in time with the steamer. There is almost no smoke and the engine sounds like it's running efficiently.

On the "Departing Portage" shot, about 6:40, anyone have any idea what that one rail off by itself at the bottom of the video is for?
@railsofmilwaukee19 күн бұрын
Possibly going to replace one of the other rails

Great pacing shots , I am sure the other chasers were cursing you as I would have . You ruined the chase for many others with your selfish acts . I have nothing but raw contempt for your kind ....
@railsofmilwaukee4 ай бұрын
Your assumptions are incorrect. I was held up behind many other vehicles on our way to the next photo spot and was NEVER the lead car slowing others down. Every one of the pacing shots was filmed driving behind others. I did see many drivers that day driving recklessly and nearly causing head on crashes. I was fortunate for my place near the front of the pack which allowed for these once in a lifetime experiences, but was never the lead.

@@railsofmilwaukee Still you ADMIT to pacing , that clogs the chase a ruins it for MANY others , nothing but contempt for you and your kind.

@@johnuhelski8613 So he isn't allowed to take the opportunity he has to pace the train if he is stuck behind other vehicles anyway? I have nothing but contempt for you and your blasphemy.

I am amazed at all the different angles you were able to show us, including the Dells bridge, and Pewaukee Lake….and downtown Milwaukee….and then you also caught it at all the different speeds it was going as well, as it zoomed along and as it slowed down…..this is probably my FAVORITE video you’ve made so far, Rails of MKE! 👏🏻Thank you!!!

I never understood why it has 2 whistles?
@kristoffermangila4 ай бұрын
During testing, it was found that 2816's whistle isn't loud enough during high speed running to satisfy Canadian safety regulators, so a second whistle, IIRC from a CP Selkirk engine was installed.
