I'm getting ready to change my switch and check the wiring on my 7100 as well. I couldn't get the steering wheel off. How did you remove the wheel to pull that dash up? Thanks! Just got my 7100 last week, your videos have been a lot of help! Thanks again!!!

I actually pulled the steering wheel in a yet to be edited video I was filming when I stopped to do this one. The steering wheel is difficult to pull because the center bevels out, then back in. Every time I've pulled it, I've managed to get it off with a 3 jaw puller, BUT: 1. Of the dozen or so jaw pullers I own, only 1 seems to fit it enough to pull the wheel. 2. I have to hold the jaws around the bottom until they have enough pressure to start moving the wheel. It usually takes multiple attempts, and the underside of the wheel is marred from several pulls over the years. The workshop manual shows the use of a (now discontinued) special puller that they charged $1000 for. It is basically a metal disk approx 4" in diameter (slightly larger than the widest part of the hub) with a 1.5" hole in the center (slightly larger than the steering shaft) and a slot the same 1.5" wide cut from center to edge. It came with a funky looking puller, but if one were to make the same disk, it could be slid around the shaft beneath the steering wheel and pulled with a normal jaw puller I think. Thanks for your interest and support! I think you're going to love the b7100.
