A fun conversation to listen in on, as always, gents! (And thank you for the reference to my previous comment, Steve!) It wasn't mentioned, and I didn't even know until a few years ago, but a lot of the artwork in the Impel card set was done by none other than the master, Rod Whigham. A full set (which, as noted in today's episode, can be bought for a song) is, IMO an essential part of any vintage ARAH collection.

I think by French bangers Ben means firework type banger (light the fuse and it then makes a bang) rather than slang for sausages. Typically naughty English school kids would buy them on school trips!

When I was a kid in the 80's we played an RPG called Recon with GI Joe in mind.

My copy of this issue is still quite vibrant as well, not the way some of the other books have washed out a bit over the years

Somehow I mentally assumed this was the Persuader on the cover due to the colour and positioning of joes. How strange.
