Bo the last time you were at Gaffney. They have made it Long and moved the groove way up in 1 and 2. Just looking at Video this weekend and the last time you were there in Mary. I know for a fact that it's long and the groove is against the wall in 1 and 2.

We can relate to you. We keep fighting the same problem with our ignition also. Get one good race out of an distributor and then the engine will not turn up. Keep digging

Probably reverse mount power steering if u don't have it

Mount your weights higher on the car and it will help the car roll better and make it get better traction all around. Learned that from a old timer at the track I too was at a lose and he came to me and offered some help and my oh car came Alive offering something that might help you guys.

I agree with this. We have been running NE Prostock Crate Division. We found either our car the way its constructed actually has to weigh about 200# heavier than required and the weight has to be mounted high just to get the car to corner and carry speed thru and on corner exit. The extra weight makes us not the fastest but we are faster then we were before we started this

Had a guy that won a ton of races in northeast alabama tell me that all weight should always be above the waist on the driver when hes in the seat!

Bo, this is just an observation, but I used to be in the engine building game for racing. The thing I can see from here in internet land, is the exhaust noise is not what all the other cars have. Other wise, I mean you don't sound loud enought. Bad header? Blocked port? I really can't pin point it, but you may get an idea while your looking. Good luck you guys.

he's running 180's which would quiet the car down a bit. I ran them, but never with mufflers, so don't know if the scavenging benefits are reduced with the mufflers...

@@dieselman2000 I always tested engines with a complete exhaust system just for the reasion most heads are designed that way, no matter what you do to them. I don't know what Bo's team is allowed in that area. My observation was the engine noise from the other cars just sounded louder. Their right as to what to check over, low fuel delivery might cause it too. I just hope they find something. Early in the 60's it was all about v8's, but I got just as much power out of 4 cyls later in the 80's.

I agree. Your car looks like it is dragging an anchor. The last place car in your heat had at least 50 more HP. Something wrong with the little motor. Or you were in left field with the gear. I'm sure you will figure it out.

if not fuel or fire then cam timing is off had a motor sounded good ran ok but seemed like it was just not enough checked cam found it was 3 degrees retarded fixed that and it won races

Bo make sure you have the right collector on your headers I know it sounds stupid but if you can’t get the air out of those headers it will choke the motor down it will run fine but sound weird no power
