Generally true except there are desperation lots where they have interest rates super high where people do get cars at. Those rates are so high that they don’t always check on anything because they are waiting for desperate buyers that sign the contract anyway. If a buyer is willingly agreeing to finance a car with a 50% interest rate, seller doesn’t care if that buyer is homeless… once that agreement is signed, that buyer either fucks themself out of money or fucks up their future if they don’t pay up.

Paid off all my past debt, now own my homes and cars outright, invested well in crypto and other stocks, and can retire whenever I want to. There is so much opportunity for these young girls to build wealth. They don't just have to settle for being wives/mothers/baby mamas anymore and living off welfare or jobs going nowhere. This happens almost every day at these small dealerships. It's not really so different than the bigger used car places that offer 3-7 day "test drives." You let them leave with the car so they'll finalize the deal. Yeah, it's got a level of risk to it, but if they are driving around in a new car they're entertained by the newness of it... if they don't, they notice every car for sale on the side of the road and end up in a rabbit hole on the internet looking at cars. It's all a part of the psychology used in these types of sales. This also gives the dealership time to find you financing that pays them the most... they keep the down payment, then get kick backs for warranties, GAP, etc. This is why I left the predatory dealership i used to work at- I don't like that shady stuff.

Regardless of the outcome of this case that woman dodged a bullet, if she didn't have the money to pay the note on that Nissan morono (spelled wrong for a reason) she sure wasn't going to be able to afford to keep it on the road. I don't want to say they're bad vehicles but they definitely require more maintenance and repair than most cars of a similar type and the maintenance and repair costs more than it does on any other medium size vehicle.

I have zero sympathy for the plaintiff. She lied about how much she made.

...In cases like this one, I know Judge Milian wishes that she could just say, "Both of you get the hell out of my face because neither of you are getting $#!& from me!"

The car lot next door to me was just in a huge raid because he was faking customers income in order for them to get financed from the bank. It happens more often than not at the small used dealerships.

I just got my 2021 Highlander. They let me take it home after they ran my credit. They KNEW Toyota was not about to turn me down for financing.

I got something to say about all you judgemental people suggesting she buy a $2,000 Honda... You are correct, 😂, we all know there are 25-30yr old Hondas still on the road that might still have another 20yrs on them. They will run until the wheels fall off, and then just get some new wheels 😂

Dealers let people take the car they’re purchasing home all the time.

Sometimes I think these people... even the JUDGE LIVES UNDER A ROCK! Salespeople do this all the time! They will change your income bc THEY WANT YOU TO GET FINANCED JUST AS BAD AS YOU WANNA GET FINANCED! It also isn't abnormal to allow a potential buyer to leave with the car! THEY WANT TO MAKE A DEAL! They want you to fall in love with it!! Come on it doesn't take rocket science!! Smh. I haven't even heard half of the case yet & I'm aggravated lol

I bought my escape and went in for a explorer, drove home in a used escape, had 2 bring back 4 a Lincoln SUV older model, dealership changed it to my Escape and I went through like 4 cars b4 I finally got and financed my Escape. Dealership's allow folks to drive off, after keeping their trade in , taking down payment and financing falls through. Dealership's do that ALL the time and sometimes sell their trade in b4 they realize financing fell through. I love JM but she sometimes acts oblivious to fact ALOT of folks DON'T make type of money she does and folks R RIPPED off sometimes. JM talking about her $500 trade in 4 her car, calling it a hoopty, sometimes she straight up condescending, disrespectful, and oblivious to not everyone making type of money she does.

I had 3-5 repo's back in 2015 or 2016 and it was hard for me to get a vehicle so I went to a mom and pop shop and they said I was approved and let me drive off with the car and then the next day I got a call and they said I have to bring the car back so I did, I did get to keep the car but they switched it to in-house finance and I still have that car to this day. So after I got that car I went back a year and a half later to them and got approved and the next day I was told to bring the car back because financing fell though ( just like with the first car I bought from them ) I got to keep that car as well but it had to be financed through the finance company that I left on good terms so they approved me for the car. So last year I go to the Mercedes dealership and I get a car with no problem so I was so ecstatic that I fell in love with the car even though I did not go to the dealership to get that car ( I went to them to buy a used truck but instead ended up getting a used Mercedes c350e which was so far from what I wanted but I got it ). Last year after I got the Mercedes I went to the Toyota dealership to get the truck I wanted and got a truck that I did not want but I still have it and NEVER use it but that truck was a nightmare to finance and I had to come back ( I was never told to bring the truck back I was just told I have to come in ) the finance company changed for my truck 3 times but that third time was the charm since I still have that useless base model Toyota Tacoma with the 4 cylinder engine that can't tow jack but I got a truck so dealerships will do what they have to to sell a vehicle even if it means selling to a person with 3-5 repo's on their record.
