Can see the mixture of emotions. The disappointment of just missing out on sub 20, to the realisation of having such a massive PB. Congrats mate👏 I was there as well that day and got a 15 second PB. The event was the best Parkrun event I’ve been to. Keep it going and that sub 20 will definitely come👊

The grass thing is pretty much psychological when the conditions are good like this. Bushy is one of rhe fastest courses. You did fantastically and so did all those wonderful volunteers!

Well four well young men chasing sub 20 for a park run.. what a funny saturday for you in this no.1000 park run in Bushy or is this the name of this town or is the Parks named Bushy Park ? I dont know but I follow your journy in this 5 km and really you put the pace clear. 3.59.55 for 5 km is around 20 min and thats the goal. Come on you four young men and its you Andy I follow in here and I cheer on you and great Brett helped in the distance it was so good Andy. 20.04 it was so so near and Brett was so proud of you and instead you really got a PB Andy congrates. Looked pretty stressful overall due to the numbers and apparent lack of self-seeding, but what an environment to get a massive PB in. Sub 20 is basically there in a less congested run.

Try again in a few weeks and you’ll get under 20 mins no doubt. Don’t worry about missing the thrill of the chase, a sub 40 min 10k comes next…

You've basically already done a sub-20 taking into account it was on a cross country course! Next time, dial into the grind in that 4th km and it's there for the taking. Looking forward to the video when you knock it off....

Plenty of people do chase PB's. Bushy Park Time Trial was based on that wasn't it? You can chase a sub 16 sub 20 or sub 30 one week depending what level you are and go for a social run the next week.
