Thanks for sharing. I am just trying out PRS style shooting this year for the first time. I built a DIY barricade, and have been trying to soak up as much knowledge as possible. I do know my first match will probably be a nightmare, but that is the beauty of learning. Joseph

Great video and perfect timing. I pick up my new build this week. And I never thought about jaw weld as opposed to cheek weld. Looking forward to re-watching as I set up my rifle. Thanks!!

You should look at the new spuhr sics chassies then, it has a really fast LOP asjustment 👍

Eye relief changes with position. It seems a compromise is the only option

great info! Also, there's always that one dude walking through the frame. Never fails. "what are you guys doing?" "oh that's a camera." "guess you don't want me in the shot huh?" #facepalm

So here is my question. How does one work around a stock (like a Manners) with a lack of adjustability? My Manners has a very long, non adjustable LOP, does one just kinda have to "deal with it"? (if it helps my LOP is very long on that particular setup.)

That’s a great question for Phil Velayo. Feel free to hit him up on social media. We always recommend adjustable sticks/chassis because we feel it’s extremely important to performance. We also understand that not everyone can just drop money on a new one though. Let us know what Phil says

What are the “fill ins” on your ACC butt stock?
@longrangewiththelillys12212 жыл бұрын
They are “jellies” aka dampeners. They dampen the vibration in the stock.

Not trying to be that guy, but thought we were gonna do weekly extensions to get all the way through Scott Satterlee’s method?

As I said in the comments under that video. The interview with Scott was lost footage that was too good to not release. The 3 part series was released about a year ago.

I tried all this tripod stance stuff at the range today. Still my reticle is dancing all over a 600 yard target. I need to settle down. Front hand up on gun, scope, etc. I think my graphite plate is too flexible…

Have you sought out instruction? Next time we’re at a match together let’s figure this out.

horizontal wobble = not having hips and shoulders square to gun and target. micro muscle movements cause the wobble. vertical wobble = bent at the waist. rather than bend your waist, widen your feet so your back is straight. adjust tripod so heel of buttstock is 6 inches above your sternum.

and support hand rests on scope ring and does not pull down the bell. downward pressure on scope bell changes point of impact.
