This chassis rail has a Tig weld root pass then followed by a mig weld cap pass. Then i sand the welds back to create a very nice corner and orbital sand the material back so that it is ready for brackets to be welded on.

I'm guessing tacked them in place before assembling the frame then welding through the pre cut slots/holes after welding round the edges??

I tack all the internal gussets to one side of the frame first and place the other side ontop then tack through the slots. Then I’ll stitch them into place before the straps go on.
