Dude, I really, I mean really didn't care much for these guys until I saw them open for Lingua Ignota at the Stanley Hotel and boy, oh boy. That was a month ago and I can say now that I know pretty much every word to every song, bought the LPs, trying to learn the riffs and dig into interviews/look up song meanings/etc. Fucking fan boy overnight over here. I don't how this happens, but music has this incredible way of pivoting your mind to the most unexpected ear worms that you can't put down. Now with this interview, I've basically never heard of any of the records they talked about here. Time to pivot again. Great interview, great band, awesome people. Can't wait for the Nerver Split.

@@descantinginsalubrious Traindodge have been playing shows for about 30 years now in the OKC/Norman area, I think they haven't ever really broke up and have kept a low profile locally. Then you see an article about the band touring all over the place and releasing a critically acclaimed album. One of the longest running underground bands in Oklahoma.

I recently described Chat Pile sound is like Scratch Acid ( pre Jesus Lizard band) meets various genres of extreme metal and post punk. The guys in yhe band should do a deep dive into Butthole Surfers first 4 records for some inspiration on being heavy as fuck and disturbing without the metal trappings. That being said they should embrace all the metal that comes in contact with them.
