I cannot stress enough how much I appreciate cross for taking the sceninc route with this one. I have already learnt my mistake when 2 of my friends left the game after I gifted them a necramech and railjack set. Not only is the grind now significantly easier than before, but also this very stream highlights the importance of engaging with the systems of the game rather than bypassing it.

They just keep shouting, Go here, Go to this guy, Get these things, Do these quests, but none of them connected or explained how they at all relate. The factions are super easy to explain. Each person has different things they trade for different resources. There's usually a fishing person, mining person, animal conservation person ( where you trade tags of animals you've tranqed), and a bounties/standing person where you get bounties and check your standing. Also, if you look at them in the menu, you see what each person offers

Grinding for necramech isnt as bad compared tl when it was released. It's still a grind for sure, but it would only take 2-3 days max to get it done with respectable session intervals. As mentioned in the video, chat was over-exaggerating the length to achieve a necramech.

I commend you for the integrity run of Warframe, coming from an LR 4 i can tell you are taking your time and enjoying the game, not just trying to rush to max rank like mactics did. Not only are you enjoying the story but you are actually getting experience with how different game mechanics work. No cap, but it really does seem that way. What's there to grind for in Destiny typically? A new gun, with some generic name and a perk roll that people recognize more than the gun? Great. In Warframe, some of the grinds may be a tad tedious, but look what you get...new personal houses, a titan from Titanfall, a pilotable multicrew spacecraft, a jet pack usable in space, deployable fourth weapon slot, the ability to sacrifice Warframes and unlock abilities to swap, the gameplay and options and features is so much more vast than "a new gun" or "a new armor."

Destiny adds a new subclass every like 3 years or something(besides strand and prismatic) and there’s only been 3 new subclasses in the last 10 years, Warframe adds a new frame which is almost a new subclass in itself each time and they come out with like 3 or 4 per year. By far the biggest thing though is that Destiny costs money and Warframe is free, while Warframe has bigger and cooler updates anyways. Warframe is just so unlike any other game and it treats its players better than anyone else. There’s not much special about Destiny compared to other similar games now, but Warframe continues to be super unique and innovative.

I don't get why people were crying about the grind...you used to have to get to rank 2 with Loid, and rank up with the entrati, AND get the damaged parts, AND get all of the materials. Now you get all of the blueprints for free, which was basically 90% of the grind, and you just need the materials, which is like, an hour and a half at most just chilling and mining.

Most of his viewers watch him just because he's streaming. Not to actually guide him properly. The grind used to be way worse than it is nowadays as you weren't able to buy the damaged parts from the Syndicate, only being random drops on Isolation Vaults. But doing this grind is now a great way to learn about the open world activities. Enjoy the game how you want to! And trust me, going through the grind makes getting the necramech so much more satisfying.

I had most of what I needed right before they made it easier so that was nice, I didn’t need to farm much else. I kind of view it as a warning of “hey, this game is grindy, we’ll reward you for it but this is a core part of the game.” Though I’m definitely glad they made it a fair bit easier now. I like that you don't want to trade for gear and mods. And I appreciate your willingness to play around in all of the mechanics of the game. That which is often called the "grind" be it mining, fishing, mission running, in this video, gathering standing. When you've played Warframe for a long enough time, all of the "grindy" bits, most find to be tedious, and maybe it is once one has a lot of time playing. But your enthusiasm to interact with as much of Warframe as you can is refreshing for me personally. Also the Destiny callout was magnificent.

There are some areas of the game where having one of the mechs really pays off. Open World, a spoilery basement, and railjack all allow for considerable use of the mechs, which can be delightful force multipliers. Also, they synergize with Umbra.

The devs understand that players will burn themselves out hyper-focusing on grinds if given the chance, and create an incentive system to keep your activities varied or just log off and come back tomorrow.

Mining and Fishing are really relaxing, and actually a good low-stress way to level your factions; you can mine and fish past your Rep cap, and just hold on to the stuff until you need the rep, or until you need to turn them into parts for an item.

Also, the map starting physically tearing itself apart due to how fast my ins and outs were Was actually fun to do, I even reeled my two close mates to do it by saying "Let's speed run it" and I found a unintentional speed run method that made runs so stupidly fast

builds wise everything is kinda like armor modding, and the story comes pretty naturally with working through the star chart. feel free to make heavy use of the wiki, but be careful not to spoil things for yourself. I’d recommend doing the Koumei quest early on; it’s a good intro to a lot of later mechanics.

I think people are forgetting that these past few patches prior to 1999 have made nechramechs a good deal easier. Like yareli, people get stuck on a release mindset, and either foget or ignore any changes.

I might have left Warframe when the Tubemen/ The War Within quest dropped, but seeing him level the Angstrum and remembering how easily people blow themselves up with that gun made some good old memories come back up. Enjoy the grind and the farming man, buying them directly just skips part of the unique fun Warframe had. Beside the games survives fine with just buying weapons and Frame slots after each update.

I think the decided against it because Voidrig's 4 is (even after being fixed) stupidly strong. People use Voidrig to hunt eidolons now instead of the old Rubico setup, it's that good. Maybe things have changed with the 1999 mods and arcanes? Who knows.

i unironically enjoy mining for large chunks of time, the fishing not quite as much but the fishing on Cetus is a bit of a trading quest where you need fish parts from earlier types to make the bait for the next rarity tier and going through that the first time was really fun and the rarest fish is worth a lot of standing with Cetus

I need to learn more about Warframe Factions, Reps, and such. Started playing like a week ago, and I am so lost on everything (lol). Followed Aztecross' example, and bought 1 Frame that I saw myself using for a LONG time. But I am so lost on how the Factions works, and getting Rank Ups/Downs with them.

Factions for the most part are easy to understand. There is a way to get some Rep Item X, that you can then trade in for Standing, once you reach the Standing Cap, you can level up at the "look at your standing" npc. You might need some additional Rep Items and/or other resources to do that. Once you level up you get a gift, which is typically something that you are now able to buy at your faction rank from the different faction vendors. In this example Cross did a few bounties from mother, where he got some "Mother Tokens". These Tokens can be exchanged at Grandmother for Standing. Once he hit the standing Cap, he then returned to Mother to increase his rank. The Syndicates you pledge allegiance to are similar, the only difference is, that there are no Rep Items, instead you increase your standing by just gaining xp (15% are converted to rep). Every syndicate has a friendly faction, where you get half the standing, and one opposing faction where you get minus half the standing and one enemy where you lose the full standing you get. For more infos please consult the wiki on "Syndicates" and don't worry the wiki is mostly spoiler free, or has at least warnings on spoilers.

Each open world faction has - Bounty Person (who is also the leader you rank up reputation with) - Fishing person - Mining person - Hunting Person - Weapon Smithing Person - Hidden Person that you can find after the War Within quest, who will let you fight raid bosses Bounty person is the pretty straightforward - you get missions. You do missions. You get reputation (directly, or for Deimos - in tokens, so you can farm tokens past daily reputation limit and then trade them in when you are not farming this faction) Once you get enough reputation for a level up, you can spend a bit resources to do it and get access to better loot to buy from vendors. Level up resources usually require Mining/Fishing/Hunting so you need to talk to those Vendors and buy basic tools like mining tool/fishing spear/Tranq. Rifle. (And optionally some consumables to help you with activities like fishing bait or animal lures). It will cost you some reputation, but once the upside - you can sell each of these vendor you mined ores/fish parts/“caught animal” tokens for reputation/tokens (And for people who enjoy this activities- this is the better and sometimes faster way to farm reputation than bounties) Weapons Smith Won’t give you reputation but is gonna allow you to craft pretty powerful custom weapon, once your level with faction is high enough Now hidden person you can only find after the War Within quest. On Earth they’ll help you fight Eidolon at night (mostly for pretty good “Arcane” mods. On Venus (after rank 5 with Solaris United) they’ll help you take down Giant Profit Taker Orb - best credit farm in the game. And on Deimos they are no longer required to build your first necramech

Like Zavala, Eris, Shaw, etc. Where you do stuff for them, get Tokens = Rep = Rank Up = More Items. And the Syndicates, is like the old Factions of Destiny 2 - Dead Orbit, Future War Cult, New Monarchy. And honestly has no positives or negatives with whoever you pledge to. Is that right? I came back to this game a couple of weeks ago. The last time I played was when Heart of Deimos was released and I was put off by the grind. When I came back and realized I needed a mech to do the new war quest I was bummed. However I still grinded for it and surprisingly I got all the materials required within 3-4 hours of gameplay. This is what i always say to new players. Grind and pay are very much optional when it comes to getting really powerful gear. Especially the Void Rig. Now i paid for mine bc i dont have enough time to grind the parts. But. If money is a concern the log in have deals you can cash in on. I got mine with a discount coupon. But bc they did away with that you can always cash in on the bonus plat coupons you get. Its all up to you. But i always make the same argument when i hesitate to buy something. These arent transactions but DONATIONS!!! warframe aint like destiny. You give DE money and they make the game better.

Hell, even if you're apprehensive about buying Platinum, the player-run market is an incredibly valuable resource. Granted, it can be intimidating jumping into that ecosystem, but simply cracking relics and selling off the trash can net you a nice little nest egg if you stick with it. Now I want the syandana BUT I CANT GET IT BC IM A DUMBASS!! But yes. The market is the best place to go for some sweet deals on all kinds of stuff. If you can get a full prime set from relics(any of them) you can sell the entire thing for a good chunk of platinum. Especially if it's a prime players have difficulty getting.

Even though I hate the necramech grind myself (am insane and have multiple accounts, so have done multiple times, including one during the dark ages), it really isn't a bad grind. If one was to slowly grind out the syndicates as they gained access, they'd easily have everything they need by the time they need it, but with chat trying to get you to speedrun the quests, it makes it look much worse than it is. So glad you decided to take the scenic route, if it can be called that lol, both for mechanics, but also just because it's really not the big deal they tried to make it out to be.

Grind is always the answer unless the relic is vaulted. The voidrig is one of the longest grinds but doing it will give you so many useful resources for other things. I used all my extra necramech parts to power level reputation. Use Nekros' 3 before killing the mechs and they will drop double parts.

Something to note is that the plat cost to rush builds decreases the further through the build is. From the Warframe wiki: "Foundry construction can be rushed by paying platinum to instantly finish the item, with different items requiring different amounts of payment for rushing. This amount is fixed until it reaches 50%, from there on it decreases down to 50% of its initial costs. e.g. An initial rush cost of 30 will decrease to 24 once the item reaches 70% craft completion."
