If the docking station is outside do consider building a tiny garage/cover to protect it from sun & bad weather. My neighbour has done this for his. It’s not elaborate just a practical 3 sides (fence is back side) top & base.

The problem with a ride-on mower is that you actually have to ride on it, starting it, stopping it, steering it, etc. when you could be elsewhere doing other necessary work!

I think you need two. It looks like it will be cutting more grass than it can hold. Does it take in that whole area or does need to be cleaned out before it finishes or dies it pulverize the grass more than the old fashion mowers? Snyway, i like your idea of the chateau's initials or name written across the lawn. Cheers and that was sweet hanging the French flags on the Chateau. I would've added your flag also.

I can't recall if Jonathan has ever mowed grass, but he has ridden and driven farmsize tractors when helping with the walled garden. He has certainly come a long way from when he first used his limegreen wheelbarrow when he was 7 years old!!!!!😊

It certainly is a great help with all your lawns. Just wondering, how animalsafe that robot is. If you are running it in the night it may very well run over hedgehogs, the resulting injuries are really nasty. You could test it with an old stuffed animal.

Where does the cut grass go? Any gardener can tell you that you can't leave the grass for a whole year, your lawn will suffocate over time, clean up the grass after mowing, and scarify your lawn twice a year, so you keep a beautiful and healthy lawn.

wow, we bought 3 husqvarnas for our property and they were so problematic - you had to install wires to create a perimeter and they had single wheels so it would not work on inclines. They are expensive to buy but if you factor in the cost of lawn service, they pay for themselves. You can leave them to run 24/7 and the constant cutting creates mulch to keep the weeds down and the lawn healthy. Does the Luba have an alarm system? The Husqvarnas had an alarm and GPS geolocation for the app. I am checking them out now :)

I understand that you are enthusiastic about your new robot mower and how it will save you time and hard work. Please be aware that these automated mowers are a danger to wildlife. A person operating a mower can stop anytime and wait for animals such as reptiles move out of the way. Manufacturers claim that robot movers recognize objects and animals but test have shown that that only applies to a certain size. Your grounds look like they could be a great habitat for wildlife. I volunteer in hedgehog rescue and have see injured hedgehogs with horrible wounds cause by mover blades but many fatally wounded animals are never found. Hedgehogs do not run away when they feel danger, they curl up and wait for the danger to pass. This can be fatal for especially for young ones that are no bigger than the size of an apple when curled up. Test what happens when you put an apple in the way of your robot! My plea: don't let the robot mow at night or at dusk or down when hedgehogs are active. Thanks for considering the safety of fellow creature in your neighborhood.

We appreciate the comment, but from what we’ve seen of this mower, if it were to encounter a hedgehog, it would hit it with its bumper and divert. We’ve had mole holes come up which it could have gone straight over but it goes around them. 🥰
