Really good video. On reddit the other day I was explaining to someone why $150 for 600 words was pretty reasonable for just the reasons you indicate. She was all about fee per word. My cat writes words occasionally but I wouldn't rely on them making even $5 value copywriting ...

AI might do the majority of the grunt work, but companies will still need writers to steer, make sense of and ensure that the copy is actually what is needed and correct. TLDR ChatGPT doesn’t know whether it is right or wrong. It is just a very good mimic. However there may well be fewer copywriters and a lot of copy editors. Don’t try to resist change - you will never win. Just try to find a way to grow with it and look for ways to prove to clients why they will always need more than just AI. The human factor will always win out.

Hey there! I totally agree with you - having good writing skills can really make a difference in the quality of your copy. And with the help of AI, you can save a lot of time and effort in creating great content. However, I do think that writers are still necessary, at least for now. That's because while AI can generate text quickly, it still needs the right prompts and guidance to create good copy. Without that, the AI-generated content can turn out pretty terrible. So, while AI is definitely a great tool to have in your writing arsenal, it's not a substitute for good old-fashioned writing skills just yet. But who knows - with advancements in technology and AI, that could change in the future.

Reason 1: Recently an AI was programmed to have a phone call with another person as a claiming to be a Call Centre Agent from Tesla Motors. The customer had no idea they were talking to a robot, it did sound a bit jank but it was convincing enough that the AI was able to convince the customer to set up a meeting about a potential purchase. He said the Agent came across as "Nice and friendly"

I've just started a course pertaining to copywriting however the introduction of chatgpt worries me, but I suppose that copywriters can use AI to enhance their copywriting quality. Also I'm sure that most people would trust a human more than AI. Would you rather get in a Taxi without a driver (AI controlled) or a taxi with a human driver? It will likely take many years for AI to completely take over, however I'm ignorant and just getting started when it comes to copywriting, would really appreciate some feedback and assurance that I should proceed with my copywriting journey 💛

My problem with this is that if I give ChatGPT a brief to get ideas, I can't then unsee it. What it writes is invariably plausible but also not very good and seeing it makes it harder to innovate my own copy. I tried using it for research once or twice, but it's very inaccurate.
