I've created chat gpt plugin which can execute sql scripts on my database. Result is amazing - i dont need analytics anymore. ChatGpt can do any analytics on my database and explain everything what happens in my db. Next plugin will be able to execute shell scripts and result will be even more amazing. I will ask chatgpt to make commits into my repo with changelog based on git commits in my project. Or he can be an administrator which will control health of the system.
@LionbI4 Жыл бұрын
omg I've updated plugin to support shell scripts... its blowing my mind, because now I have ChatGPT as system administrator. It suggest me to update something and tracks free space on my hdd. It can also analyze logs of the system. Mindblowing. Preparing for first commit made by ChatGPT inside my repo.

The plug-ins are not ready for serious business use. The offer a glimpse. But not a solution.
@mintakan003 Жыл бұрын
That was my impression, in trying them out. Beginning with the browsing. It's one thing to have an API, wire everything together in a shallow way. It's another thing is have "quality" integration. This maybe harder than one thinks, with natural language, where there are ambiguities in meanings. To deliver a serious AI product, one has to do serious QA. The other issue is, even if it did work, one now has zillions speciality plugins. Reminds me of Alexa "skills", with people adding their own stuff to Alexa. This didn't really take off, in a serious way.

I've been trying to find out, if I give it the parameters, will ChatGPT draw up electrical schematics and PCB templates. If it can do that, I'm definitely in! This could be a great job creator for me
@moomoo-bv3ig Жыл бұрын
I asked and this was the answer I got back, using a plugin to possibly work through the basics. While Wolfram Alpha is a powerful computational tool, it doesn't have the capability to generate detailed electrical schematics or PCB templates. These tasks typically require specialized CAD software designed specifically for electrical engineering and electronics design.
@moomoo-bv3ig Жыл бұрын
I did get it to make the most basic schematic possible, a simple circuit with a power source (Vcc), a resistor, and an LED. The arrows indicate the direction of current flow. So hopefully by starting the process today it will be perfected tommorow

Okay everyone it's time to learn computer programming. It's a standard language. Computer literacy is as important as anyone's native language. In fact it's a universal language. We need to convert to geometric symbols in quantum applications. You'll see soon.
@Hddizzle4shizzle Жыл бұрын
You do realise programming has multiple languages and depending on what your using it for depends what what language is best suited, and there’s no point as most programming will be done using AI, humans will be used to press buttons in the same way machinery took over. Ai will do the heavy lifting meanwhile humans will just observe.

I was just thinking about something similar to this whilst watching a video about Google's Gemini. It was explaining about its method of deconstructing any input into a vector-like auxiliary language. That got me thinking, as that improves, it will start to inch towards a truly universal descriptor language, at least in terms of human mind and anthropomorphic AI-like mind. So what if we then take that generated auxiliary descriptor language, create symbols for it in forms of letters, ideographs and sounds, and then use it to communicate? That would allow a global-esque language, and allow us to communicate directly with the language model of Gemini (and probably other AIs). How would the use of that language affect our brains and worldviews? The language we speak affects how we perceive, interpret, reason and behave. Regarding a global language though, of course it would dialectualise over time as different communities speak in their own ways specific to their lifestyles. use-cases, foci, etc. Interesting times we are in.

The only solution to Time is Adaptation. Nothing can stop the tide (except destruction of the Moon and Sun and that would have a few other undesirable consequences) I don't yet feel happy about the onset of AI but it is not something that can be stopped so we have to learn to accept it and find ways to adapt. I hate to admit it but my friend made a good point, that AI is parallel to the mechanisation of labour. In fact it's the same thing, it's just in knowledge- and intelligence-based work field instead of the physical labour work field. We won't become obsolete. We'll just find new and different things to do to earn money. There will be casualties, and that will be awful. But that doesn't make it any easier to stop AI from coming into our lives. What we can do instead is work out how to use AI to assist us in our tasks, projects, creativity, etc. And yes, AI as weapons, that is scary. Also unavoidable.
