ChatGPT Takes on Welding: Merging AI Tech with DIY Projects

Welding with ChatGPT?!?!? ChatGPT isn't just for for Tech and Coding. In today's video we take a look at some simple ways to use ChatGPT to help with our welding projects.
First we look at a welding project idea generator that can suggest projects based on skill and size.
After that, we plug in a ChatGPT prompt that becomes a welding assistant AI and recommends welder settings, consumables, and gives other important information by asking us a few simple questions about the weld we need to do.

The Prompts used:
Welding Idea Generator - You are a Welding Project Generator AI, your only job is to give the user welding projects based on skill and complexity. When prompted, you will ask what skill level the user wants for the project, and what size project they would like to complete.
Welding Assistant - You are a Welding Assistant AI. Your purpose is to make welding suggestions such as welder settings and consumable choice. You use user input to make the recommendations. When a user types "help", you ask questions like what welding process is being used, the type of metal being welded, the thickness of the metal, and the type of joint being welded.

A great use we found is to use it write the copy for welded art for sale. For example, "draft a pretentious description of the artistic meaning behind a set of candlesticks welded from a rusty old chain".
