Thank you for building in public. A lot to learn from. Theory: AI content works best if 1) provide it an outline, 2) ask it to write, 3) ask it to rewrite with XYZ perplexity filters, 4) you edit/enrich the content to make it your own.

Hey Jesse, I have been following your progress for a while now and sorry to see your site got hit with an algorithmic penalty by google. I wanted to give you a quick tip, because I have seen the same thing happen a few of times with my personal sites until I figured it out. The issue you are having with your site is that you have too many new pages and not enough links or referring domains. Take a look at your competitors and see what their ratio of referring domains to pages/blog posts is and see how your site compares. Again this is a common issue with a new site and an aggressive publishing schedule, but your site will recover at some point. If you would like some resources to support this let me know and I will point you in the right direction and how you can test it yourself.

Hey Jesse, Not much mention of these, but 3 things don't look great: 1) the site is built on an aged domain in a total different niche and country even. 2) YMYL niche - Google algo is much stricter on quality of info, content, EEAT. The site doesn't explicit have a legal entity to accompany it. 3) Backlink acquisition rate is way too fast (like many mentioned here) Hope this helps, wish you success for this project. Cheers

Another thing could be: Lack of freshness Overall there is a lot of content and topics but is there something that's related to insurance and in the news? In real estate I fixed a few sites with this approach. Instead of just writing about my "topics" we looked up recent news articles and wrote about that as well. We wrote about new laws, or things important for landlords and even tenants. Took a week or two and about 12 articles and everything startet to go back to normal.

After checking your video i have noticed that all the articles that were indexed were deindexed, and i believe the issue is related with two main factors: 1) Being AI generated content. 2) Publishing 80 articles in 1 month in a very young domain (around 2 months old).

Unless you build massive amount of backlinks with the same anchor text over and over, it's difficult for Google to catch on and it certainly won't be in a couple of days. Oh no! So sorry to hear that your website took a hit. I definitely hope it comes back. What are your plans since you're putting Bauple on hold? Are you going to create a second site and keep it private? Are you going to pause content creation entirely? Whereever your journey leads you, I feel you have what it takes to be very successful. It's just about finding your lane....

Can you add that spammy link to the disavow file, and perhaps look to acquire a recently expired domain in the insurance niche which already has some good quality backlinks to it? That might be enough to raise the scores up. Also Google did an update in Feb which they then later reversed in March, I noticed a dip in Feb and then it’s bounced back again over the past week. I think you’re more likely to get penalised if you now stop adding content.
@jessecunninghamv

I did disavow the spammy one for sure (about 1 week ago). An aged domain in insurance is a great idea but would be pricey. An expired one may help. Good ideas. TY for the comment.

@Jesse Cunningham Sorry but that's not how the disavow works. Disavow is a tool that tells Google -> "I built a trash link and I can't even remove it myself now, sorry." So all these people disavowing spam links are just annoying Google. Even if you had spam links built to your website, google is pretty good at identifying and ignoring those, there's *no way* a new website will be affected this much just because of links, without an algorithm change. As for the "good" links. All links do something different in googles eyes. It's not a linear "bad to good". For example, you talk about EAT but never mention links for your EAT signals. Your Yahoo link tells Google you are an authority, but what does authority without trust mean? Nothing. (Would you vote for an untrustworthy but authoritative politician? I hope not.) For example for the new site, the most important links are from your social profiles even if they hold no authority at all. Then you keep on slowly building trust and authority from there. As it stands you are telling Google, that you had 100 traffic in total and 80 of those people were bloggers who decided to link to you. That's just impossibly unnatural.
@jessecunninghamv
@jessecunninghamv Жыл бұрын
@@georgekhmaladze5940 Thanks but I'm not following 100%. Tons of our backlinks are high DR and from reputable sources and are legit. I identified one that was too spammy for my risk threshold right now.
@georgekhmaladze5940
@georgekhmaladze5940 Жыл бұрын
@@jessecunninghamv Yeah I get that and those links are great. But all I'm saying is that those great links are better built at a later stage. It's unnatural for new website to get bunch of links from DR 90 websites. Now, if this was after you already gained some traffic and trust from google those would be absolutely great backlinks for any niche. I look at it this way, if google knows that you have been showing up in search for certain terms, it's natural that you would be linked to. but if google knows that you have no traffic, then you can't justify having bunch of authoritative links without anyone even visiting your site. Shortly, I'd start with 1-3 moderate-authority & high-relevance links per week . then ramp up based on traffic. After all, if more people see your site, it'd only be natural for the site to get more links
@jessecunninghamv
@jessecunninghamv Жыл бұрын
@@georgekhmaladze5940 I can understand the logic of that to a degree but I've seen sites with high DR off the bat that rank well too. There's conflicting data for sure.

I tested your website and found everything to be OK, however your backlink strategy raises some questions. You used a Business News website as an example, and I saw that you copied two do-follow links to your website from the same post. This is not normal for Google, and it makes it simple for Google to figure out that you paid for these links. For the sake of future viewers, just make one link per guest post so that I appear natural to both humans and Google's algorithms.

@@jessecunninghamv it really does! Your videos are super helpful! though, I have 2 questions about content hubs if thats fine to ask here:) My niche is website builders and hosting, and the way to make money is by doing affiliate marketing, and promoting the website builders in the articles. first question: Is a wix review good pillar content. or any review about a website builder. So basically that I have a full wix review, and cluster blogs going around it. e.g: ecommerce features, SEO, pricing. And also, would it be possible here to only do T1 & T2 content? The T1 as a review of a website builder, and the T2 content going deeper in SEO, pricing, etc etc, or would it still make more sense to do T1, T2, T3?

I'm a small time blogger I had my website with normal organic 1k-2k taffic a month and I did something stupid of aquiring backlink that aren't even dofollow and it hit me so hard lost 75% of the traffic. No wonder you lost so much. Your website on first look looks very very legit. For new bloggers please don't run for backlinks or aquire them. Just make content and share your content on YT or other social media. You will automatically grow your traffic.
