Something to keep in mind is that you might want to add some purely info posts that have the main keyword instead of only best of or review posts within the cluster. This will give more expertise signal.

100%. Great point! None of the blog posts in my data example are affiliate or product based. It's smart to have a ratio of informational to product. Everyone's threshold is different. I like 25% product or less.

hello sir can i make this whole cluster on Wordpress post, why I am asking this is because I'm confused if we create the pillar content and its supporting content on posts we will have them at same level not in a hierarchy structure like we can do on worpress pages so having pillar and supporting content on same level does do any effect on this concept and the internal linking is 100% correct

@@NikhilYadav-hg6sw Good question. URL structure and inter-linking structure are two different things. Some get obsessed over URL structure but I'm focused on the customer experience and journey which is via internal links. Show Google how they should think about your content not through your URL structure but through how each post links to another post. That is more important. With that said, the closer a slug is to the root domain, the more important it is as well. But to me, the juice is hardly ever worth the squeeze to worry about that. Do blog posts, write lots of them, interlink them, and go to another hub.

Thank you so much for this video, Jesse. Does the backlink score matter when we're qualifying these keywords? For example, at 08:57, the Zuzu's guide had a DR of 2, and only 11 backlinks, which made the keyword a great one to add to our cluster to compete. But if the DR was 2 and the backlink score was 7K for whatever reason, would that be a red flag for "chasing" that keyword?

Great question! Does the slug change from a page to a post on your website? Does your blog show /blog/category/name-of-post? Or is it all after root domain? If it's all after root, then it doesn't matter IMO - otherwise you can consider a structure.

great video, however im a little confused still Some people say that the middle of the cluster should be your pillar page, and then all the subtopics around it are your supporting content. So an example would be like "Nutrition plan" is the pillar page, and then all the subtopics would be the long tail versions of nutrition plan. But other people are saying that the middle of the cluster should be your money page, where you are doing some sort of review on products, and thats why you want it to receive all that link juice from the supporting pages. Which one is correct? They both make sense to me, but i dont understand how i should actually be creating my content. and what if i have 2 different money pages for that topic. Like one page is a course review, and the other is a product roundup page? if we use the nutrition plan example again, say you have a course or product you are selling that is the "best nutrition plan course review", but you also have a money page where you are selling "best supplements for your nutrition plan" Which one goes into the center of the cluster? is it possible to have both money pages in the cluster somehow? So just to recap my main questions: 1: Should the center of a topic cluster be a massive pillar page targeting your seed keyword, or should the center of the cluster be a money page, such as a product review? 2: and if the latter is true, what do you do if you have 2 seperate money pages on the same topic. like one product is a course review, and the other is a product roundup review? can you put them both in the cluster, and if so, how do you structure that with interlinking?

It is one of the most confusing aspects of SEO. I just did a 40 minute module diving into it in the masterclass and plan to do even more. It deserves more than what this response can give because there’s so much to it. Super valuable if you can get it right but I will say that everything we create for structural SEO is merely for us to visualize the semantic relationships between hubs. It keeps us on track and through that process it shows Google we are the authority on our given niche/keyword/etc.

I have a site for which I'm creating hubs like this: Say it's about plants, then one hub for how to water 10 different types of plants, one hub for how to harvest the same 10 plants, and a hub for how to seed the 10 different plants. However, then I of course also have to interlink the 3 plants that are the same of each hub (e.g. all articles on tomato plants would have to be linked together too). Would this structure work do you think?
