I have a lot of Jamaican co workers and friends who did not know we share borders with Brasil 🇧🇷 Venezuela 🇻🇪 . Suriname 🇸🇷. These videos are very helpful . They also buy Banga Mary . Butter fish . grey snapper fish from where I go buy my fish 🐠 . they just love it ! I have shared so many videos with them about Guyana 🇬🇾 Rainforest jungle wildlife . Fish 🐠 markets and much more . they cannot believe the abundant amount of fish 🐠. vegetables produce . fruits we have in Guyana 🇬🇾 and how cheap they are in comparison with Jamaica 🇯🇲 I’ve seen so many KZbin videos of Jamaica 🇯🇲 and it’s very similar to Guyana 🇬🇾 . We really appreciate watching your videos . Haters will always be no matter how nice you are ! Keep up the good work !!! peace and love unity will always defeat bad mind people!!!!

As a Guyanese in Jamaica, this video made me miss home. Many things are similar, but oh my, I miss my fresh banga mary, butter fish and trout. The supermarkets here usually get them through a company that imports it by the name of Rainforest Seafood but by the time it goes through that long process, it is not as fresh as buying it directly from the fisheries at Meadow Bank in Guyana. Tania, you should now do a part 2 of this video at the wharf in Meadow Bank. Some places you can visit are Suriname, since it is so close to Guyana, Linden, Bartica and many other places, but I know travelling all those places require money.

Do you see how expensive Banga Mary and butter fish is in the supermarkets here in Jamaica. I am a Guyanese living in Jamaica too, I find it hard to pay so much.

You are sure right. lol..The fish is very expensive and it is not as fresh after first being imported, then sent off to the various supermarkets to put on their own expiry dates. One thing I get in abundance is my Karibee rice from a Chinese supermarket that brings it directly from Guyana.

I would love to know where you bought fish in Jamaica Tanya, I went to Negril on my last trip in Oct and bought fish to bring back to Florida, and it's never close to $50 USA, and we bought more than 7 lbs, now in the US, it's around $12 a pound for snapper.

In the big supermarket oxtail’s is about $10 To $12 in the Small Spanish store it is a little cheaper about $8

Exactly, who have oxen in the Caribbean or Guyana. So when you order oxtail ask them where they got the oxtail from, which farm, bet no one can tell you 😂. But you pay big money for oxtail in Jamaican restaurants 🤣.
