Please note that discussions into this video are views of Chat Jamaican with Tania and not of Jamaica. I relate based on my experiences and what I have seen and my knowledge. For the complainers, please email me the farmers name, contact information, and info in regards to their farm so that I can visit them and let the world know that they are large scale grown and the entire Island knows about it. Please comment, like and share this video.

What's funny is as she was saying it, I remembered my Jamaican best friend I grew up in New York with, didn't know alot of vegetables my mom would prepare, she ate everything except Karilah, however I was always curious as to whether Jamaica's Indian community had a different culinary experience because traditions matters and it often lives on. I don't know any Jamaicans who cook long beans (bora) or squash, or eddoe leaf calaloo.. so, that's why I wouldn't disagreed with her, but glad to know there's a community who enjoy these delicious dishes. I was shocked at egg plants though. Glad folks clarified that. Though I haven't met a Jamaican who cooked it, I didn't think it wasn't on the island.

In Guyana its just called pepper. How does he not know what it looks like? Scotch Bonnet is the west Indian pepper that we all use, its the same one in Trinidad, Barbados and other islands.

Starapple is round, about the size of a baseball ⚾, purple when ripe. The flesh is white and milky, it also has latex in the skin that can make eating it feels a little bit messy on the lips (except if you use a spoon) there are about 5 or 6 flat, eye shaped seeds inside, covered with a clear, sweet jell. That's all I can think of, but there are enough information about the fruit on the internet. Check it out.

@@toniart9325 but all the information I have on Jamaican cooking and Jamaican market place I don't see the vegetables she's questioning or saying isn't there. Maybe it's in a particular region? But I know when I look at Jamaican market videos the stalls never have any of the things she's talking about. So, she's not wrong per se. And why with all the Jamaicans I've been around from teen years they never cook these things and always seems shocked when Guyanese prepare them? C'mon people if it's in a region say so, but broadly stating as if it's all over when people like me stay on vlogs all over the Caribbean and definitely Jamaica, I don't ever see it, so why would I doubt her? Experience and knowledge matters. That's mines, but share yours rather than downing her. For starters, where would someone find it and where is it grown?

She is young. She knows no vegetable: mangoes have over 1000 species. God help her.

Bitter melon, egg plant and everything that they have there are in Jamaica. Froth, not sud . I don't know about you. Guyana is a very nice place I will visit there soon. You say things that people are going to criticize you.

No, it is obvious I don't know- but tell me, where are those farms located? Are they grown on a large scale? Send me the farmers names and info to taniachatjamaican@gmail.com

@@ChatJamaicanwithTania glad you asked for the information because that's a far better conversation to have than the back and forth.
