I'm from Germany and visited Chatsworth House and the garden some years ago. Surely it's one of the most beautiful places in England.

Done a lot of walking around Chatsworth we usually start off on the corner of Beeley lane and walk through Stand wood to the top of the waterfall above the aquaduct and have lunch on the bench right at the side of the waterfall or we'll walk to the hunting tower then down to the house and have food on one of the benches outside. The walk over Beeley moor to stand wood has spectacular views and is one our favourites.

As usual your videos have a way of transporting me to a different time. The music was perfectly chosen and I was right there beside you walking in the rain, walking through the sheep field and sitting under that other worldly tree with the multiple tentacles. Thanks to you and Derek for completing my Sunday. 🙏🏻🥰

At 7:20, it actually sounds like the sheep are booing you two for showing up in their field! This is a gorgeous video, as we have come to expect, and once again I am transported far away to a green old country where I wish I could go (but can't) right now. Thanks for showing us the wonderful parkland around Chatsworth.

Beautiful video! Agree about the prices to go in the house. We go every year between Christmas and New year as a Christmas treat. The house and gardens are decorated for Christmas and it's absolutely beautiful, making the high cost a bit more worth it!! 😅

Nice one Mary. I've been up Lee's Moor on the Ethel Challenge but not down to Calton Pastures as I wanted to keep the 88 Trig Point Challenge as an entirety separate challenge. Those prices for Chatsworth House are extortionate. I'm not tight fisted but I'm not paying £32 per person to see how the other half lived. That's just a licence to print money. How many of the 88s have you bagged now Mary? Great vlog, thanks for sharing

Chatsworth is unaffordable for me. Lovely green rolling landscape Love the trig point in the verge, nestled against the wall. I'm not one for trig points and so bored of seeing exposed ones.

Went round Chatsworth back in 1993 and wasn't impressed - just following a one way route through identical room after room. Even the gardens were non-descript. Much better is Haddon Hall (about 3 miles as the crow flies) - very tranquil and atmospheric at the same time. Lots of people I talk to agree. The walk looks great though. Never been up to Emperor Lake always remember scenes of D.H. Lawrence 'The Rainbow' was filmed up there from 1988. Some things stick in the mind no matter how obscure.
