Hey dude just one correction on your cons. People that live downtown shop big box stores in Hixson (Yes there is a Target), and almost never need to go to East Brainerd. The have everything Hamilton Place has for the most part. It’s just a little more spread out. Nice video though

There's not a lot of difference between Chattanooga and Knoxville. Knoxville has the state's flagship university and is close to the Smokey Mountains. Chattanooga also has a lot of outdoor activities, as well. However, the biggest thing Chattanooga has going for it, is location. It's an hour and a half from Atlanta and Knoxville. It's two hours from Nashville, and about, 2 and a half hours from Birmingham.
@petuniascott87887 ай бұрын
I would rather be in Chattanooga than Atlanta, Nashville, Birmingham, or Knoxville. The best thing about Chattanooga is that I can literally drive 10 minutes and hike a strenuous trail, mountain bike at any level, rock climb, or paddleboard. Another 15 minutes and I can be standing under a waterfall. I don't know of anywhere else where you can do all that within such a close proximity and still make a living.
@darrenwood65207 ай бұрын
Amen ! I agree. I lived in Atlanta for 18 years and now live in Chattanooga. I absolutely hate to ha e to drive back to Atl . It's a arm pit. Way too much traffic. Chattanooga has such a great vibe. And when I 24 is not backed up, the traffic is wonderful

Been thinking of moving to Chattanooga. How’s the social scene there? My previous experience living in the Southeast was that it was the most difficult place to try and make friends if you’re not from the area. People are very nice but you’ll never be “their friend” I’m a big extrovert and have never had problems making friends anywhere else I’ve lived until I moved to the Southeast. Hopefully Chatt isn’t like that? That’s my one hesitation

So we live towards northern Idaho…we love our gorgeous clear pristine lakes and are always at the lake and summer camping! Don’t care for winters here! Hows summer for camping? Worried about the bugs as we don’t deal with bugs at all! And the lakes? Are they clear? Worried about water moccasins and mosquitos! Thanx! Great great content!
@TennesseeHomeExperts Жыл бұрын
Hi! Winters here are definitly more mild. Camping in the summer is great. Beautiful lakes. Beautiful mountains. You will want to use insect repellent during the summer. Some of the lakes are clear, some are not as clear. Water moccasins are typically only found in West Tennessee, which is a 4+ hour drive from Chattanooga. Mosquitos are common but insect repellent will keep them away. Hope that's helpful!

I have lived here in the Chattanooga area most of my life. The traffic is terrible and it’s because there is no way to put a bypass around Chattanooga. The river the mountains and no access to available land, this blocks the way to build a bypass. The river and mountains are beautiful, but this is a fact. Super overpopulated for the infrastructure with no foreseeable infrastructure being upgraded.🤷🏻♂️
