This is the same method I teach my ultralight students. ULs have lots of drag and next to no inertia compared to GA aircraft. When you lose your engine, once they get slow, there's no getting that speed back unless you have lots of altitude. Dive dive dive for the runway (or hay field) and make sure you flare at the right time because you only get one shot at it. The only difference is we're at 40kts, not 140!
