Missed the premiere last night. This looks like a fun time. I can't believe Lauren hung in there, upside down through that whole rapid. That had to have felt like 30-40 seconds. Pretty sure I would have pulled my skirt within a couple seconds.
@RiverKingsKayak2 жыл бұрын
OH YES! 10 seconds feels like a minute esp if you are worried about what is below where you dumped over...She is a beast though and she doesnt rattle easy. Good thing too as Crack is just below! She recovered really well!

Dang! The GoPro sure does shrink these rapids down. Especially 7-Foot.
@RiverKingsKayak2 жыл бұрын
I know, you can lessen that effect by narrowing the aperture, but then you lose a lot of the peripheral and it makes it harder for the viewer to follow. A third party shot can show it well, but that takes forever to set up...If it looks big on GoPro, it is humongous in real life! LOL

Crack is a pesky one. not really a high fun factor, but a very serious set of consequences!

I got my ass so kicked in cork screw once. The level was about 2.5 ft. Pretty high. I got flipped at the top and rolled up just above left crack. In managed to grab an Edie and didn’t go through crack upside down.
