I have used for several year Luminous silk (i am now 76 yrs) and then I purchased online power fabric by mistake. Love both and I need to buy a new one but have not decided which one. I love a dewy finish but i have not the previous one to compare. I think the P.F. is of more coverage. Using first time L'oreal with true match nude1% hylaronic acid and it's great. Almost Armani. The only think that it is less dewy

By the way I’ve been using the power fabric concealer as a face concealer (I only spot cover usually as I don’t need much so don’t generally use foundation). It works great! I also use the Dior forever concealer in the same way. I have light olive skin and there are very few spot concealers or foundations with the right tones. These two are perfection in tone! And love the formulas.

Just bought the ethereal palette even though I passed on it when it first came out because the wet shades had so much fallout. I have the ND I need a nude and love it! But it’s too big for travel. This may be a good travel alternative. So glad I didn’t by the laundress detergent as I had been thinking of. I think you’re correct that it was the laundry detergent you had been using, even though you had been using it for a long time. We can develop sensitivities or allergies to things that we’ve been using for a long time. I definitely think it’s nasty that their products had bacterial contamination, but dry clothes that were washed months or years ago are unlikely to have live bacteria on them. However, anything you may be sensitive to contained in the detergent would still irritate you even if it’s been months. So glad you realized it was irritating you. I also have very sensitive skin and I dont like changing detergents or body soaps.

I had some eczema issues last year, but mine was related to fragrance in my laundry detergent that I had newly purchased (not The Laundress). My doctor had me switch to a fragrance-free detergent and it cleared up soon afterward. I’m so glad you and your family didn’t have the lung infections that can happen with that bacteria. Glad everything is clearing up!

I’ve been using The Laundress for many years and am really grateful that none of the products I have been currently using are contaminated so I’ve had zero problems. I did find two unopened containers that I bought more recently that are in the affected batch numbers. I’m so glad for your skin improvement!!

I can’t use anything with added fragrance.My eczema goes nuts. I also have psoriasis. So I am paranoid about fragrance and essential oils. All culprits for my skin. Vanilla is one scent that doesn’t bother me. Your makeup is lovely!

My laundress products were also part of the recall and I also had products I’d been using all year that I bought at the same time, I’m sure they were also affected. I’ve had an increase in breakouts on my legs and back and also had multiple upper respiratory infections in the last 8 months. I only heard about the recall from your IG, so thanks for sharing!

Shelbey, that’s horrible that you went through that eczema outbreak due to The Laundress. They did the entire recall so poorly. There is a class action lawsuit that was filed in California for US customers. So glad you’re almost cleared up now. This look is gorgeous!

Love that red lipstick!!! And those eyeshadow pallet colors look beautiful on you❤ so, I have a question that you may or may not be able to answer… I never wear lipstick with much pigment because I’ve got lip lines due to age (not smoking) and one is a scar from a car accident many years ago and I’m afraid lipstick will just emphasize those lines. Do you have any suggestions that might help “hide” those lines so I can maybe wear a more vibrant color this holiday season?? I’d LOVE to be able to do that without constantly feeling self conscious about them🤷‍♀️❤️

So I picked up the new Power Fabric. Your vibe is my vibe so I don’t think it’s something you’d wear regularly like Luminous Silk but if you mix them together it’s perfection for rosacea days when I need more coverage or longevity. Although I tried it again today at full strength solely on my T zone red areas with the GA primer underneath which I picked up in the sale and that made it spread so much easier on my dry tretinoin skin. My new fav primer!! The PF is med to full coverage but it’s lightweight and not mask-like and it doesn’t settle in my smile lines. So that’s huge for me. I just think if you have dry skin you have to prep well but oily girls will love it I bet. Also finally picked up three GA eye tints but not before I checked out your swatches of course. So 🙌🏼 score on that sale! I also took advantage of the rare CT 30% off and restocked a ton. Thank you for both 💗 That’s all I picked up on black friday other than two Lisa Eldridge palettes. Between that and the Sephora event, my wallet is toast 💸 💳 🔥 So happy for you that you nailed the dermatitis culprit. Tide including their Free and Clear does that to me. Bad eczema. I had to wear a blood pressure cuff for 24 hours and when the technician took it off I commented that I never get eczema anymore since quitting Tide but that cuff was driving me nuts and the rash was bad. She was horrified but she had been washing the cuffs between patients with Tide Free and Clear. Yup detergent can be a biggie. Costco free and clear is fine on me.

I LOVE Arm and Hammer, have used it for 20+ years and have Never had an issue. Hubby is very sensitive and no issues with the AH free and clear, All free and clear is also a good one. Btw, love todays look! TY!

I use Method Free and Clear,y scented. It’s really good cleans clothes extremely well. I had severe itching,so I scented bath soap Ivory bar soap for sensitive skin. Your skin looked really bad from that detergent.

I have a cupboard absolutely stuffed with laundress. I mean like a hundred products. It’s the only laundry products I use. When I purchase I buy big. I am not about to get rid of anything and I have no idea which products came when because I rotate them In my cupboard. I have not noticed any bad effects and am thankful I don’t have exema.

The batch numbers are on the bottom of your products - you need to go to the website and just check to see if they match up with any of yours. This bacteria can be especially dangerous if it enters any open cuts or wounds!

So soo, glad you found the source of your eczema flair up. I could tell how red your face had become but was shocked when you showed the pictures of how it affected your body skin as well. You poor thing!
