Yes, huge weddings cost a fortune and start a life of debt. I gave my daughters money and said "you can use this as a deposit on a house, or you can waste in on one day and a dress you'll never wear again!" They both had small intimate weddings and bought a home! Good choices!!

We went to Vegas, Mexico and New York for our honeymoon. It was a surprise from my husband! We’d booked some time off after the wedding with the idea of getting a last minute deal but unbeknownst to me it was all booked. I liked the combination of touristy in Vegas and New York with a lovely relaxing 10 days in Mexico in between. It was amazing start to our marriage. Enjoy the planning and the lead up to your wedding and the honeymoon. It really is exciting! It’s our 10 year anniversary this year and I still regularly look through all our wedding photos and we talk about it. It is only one day but it also kind of isn’t. It’s a celebration of your relationship’s past, present and future together.

We did the same for our wedding. Managed to get a really good deal. People apparently didn’t want to get married in 2013 as they thought it would be bad luck. So we got a really good package deal on a country home with loads of stuff included for £2013. We booked it at the end of Feb 2013 and got married on 23/06/13. Getting married on a Sunday also made stuff cheaper like you said. And as for the “bad luck” because of the year.. we’ve been married 11 years this year and are happier than ever! My husband and I planned our wedding beginning to end in 6 months. The whole thing venues, dress, food, cake, flowers, tuxes and whatever else was all under 10,000 I think it was all $8500. At my wedding I had a small top cake to cut then had tiers of the cupcakes, a friend of my mums made it and everyone loved it! All the cupcakes was gone so fast! we did a TUI cruise around greece, italy and croatia for our honeymoon in 2023 for 10 days, it was AMAZING. the ship has so many amazing restaurants, bars, entertainment, broadway shows, silent discos (so fun), pools, jacuzzis, spa etc. plus we got off to explore a new place every day and many days we had booked excersions. each day can be as relaxed/chilled or as exciting as you want. also our weddings sound soo similar i got married near london on a weekday (Thursday) with a package deal with basically everything included, saved so much money, and it was the best day ever! I also got an off the peg dress from wed2be and got it taken in to fit and it turned out perfectly. congrats and i love your vids have been watching for years. xoxo

I chose my dress online, went to the one store that stocked it, tried it on and bought it 😂 I tried on others at wedding fairs etc but I knew what I wanted! We didn't spend much on our wedding at all, like less than 10k and our families say it was the best wedding they've ever been to! Big party vibes haha Glad to hear your Dad is okay. The three best money-saving wedding tips are 1. Get married on Sunday of a three/four day weekend. I got 25% off the venue & catering (they came together) by doing this. 2. Buy any dress not called a “wedding dress”. Mine was very bridal-looking - it was white and even had a train - and was under $400 including the alterations. 3. Don’t focus on trends or impressing people. Accommodate people, especially those who don’t/can’t drink alcohol, are veg/vegan, or have allergies. But don’t have your day your way.

Wedding foundation reccomendation. As maid of Honour at my brother's wedding my makeup was suprisingly mostly drugstore. The foundation I wore was the L'oreal infallible freshwear liquid foundation. It lasted on my face from 11am-1am. No touch ups needed. Absolutely loved!! Highly reccomend as long as there are no ingredients that you are allergic to in the formula. My skin stay a beautiful satin finish all day. Favourite foundation of all time!! 💝 Honeymoon destination, my bf wants tropical get away. I want to go to Disney world lol

Fuerteventura (one of the Canary Islands) is a lovely place to go. It’s less touristy than Lanzarote. I’d highly recommend it! Especially the north of the island like La Jares. It’s only a 4 hour flight and no time difference. ❤

Like yourselves, my husband and I got married quickly! We got engaged on Easter and then got married in August last year! My granny was terminal and I desperately wanted her to make it but unfortunately she passed before the day but we went ahead with our quick plans anyway! Don't worry about not wanting to spend a lot of money on the day, our wedding cost £10,000 all in! I didn't decorate our venue, didn't see the point! We did have afew things that went wrong on the day but its what you make of it! We still had the best time!

I LOVE not spending an outrageous amount of money on a wedding! My husband and I have been together for 23 years and married for 18 years and we got married in my moms backyard and my friend bought us a cake (she told me she was going to make it) and we had a DJ. It was awesome!
