I've had many pet millipedes, back when I was a kid I kept all kinds of pet bugs of anything I could catch in the woods nearby my house and millipedes were one of my most common. They are pretty neat lil guys and easy pets, get em a nice container of dirt, give em a nice piece of bark as a hide and a bunch of dead leaves and they are set, they just eat the dead leaves and chill in their bark home, just gotta make sure to keep the dirt moist they like that humidity, and toss in some food scraps here and there to give em some other nutrients. Millis cant hurt with bite even if they wanted to, but they never want to anyways since they just curl up in a ball if they are scared, they just chill lil nearly blind scavengers

Here in Barbados, we don't talk about centipedes because they tend to come out when you do lol. A centipede's bite is very painful. You feel that shit for days after, sometimes needing an ER visit. Millipedes are chill creatures though. We see them on the reg.

Tbf you can keep both millipedes and centipedes as pets, giant centipedes are cool to have if you can handle how unapologetically vicious they are. Millipedes are homies, they're just chill like that

I think the trippiest thing about centipedes is that their pincers and back antenna things are modified legs. They're some of the most unique uses of limbs that I'm aware of.

The problem with rating aesthetics is that they are subjective. Looking cool also doesnt really factor into survival or gameplay advantages unless you are angling for the "pet of a human" sub-class path.

When I was like 6 or 7 one of my sisters put a millipede on my pillow while I was sleeping. I woke up, turned over and placed my hand on my pillow only to feel the millipede and all it's dang legs wrapping around my hand. Needless to say I freaked out. Don't remember how much trouble she was in.

Cats eat HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of beautiful song birds a day in real life, because the bird chose aesthetics over survival. Aesthetics are nice if you are trying to woo a mate but at the end of the day, without a boatload of poison, a beautiful corpse just gets eaten.... And being in stark contrast of your environment means you will just become a corpse all that much faster. So I am glad TierZoo ignores this complaint.. Minding your own business means nothing if said predator is hungry and you are made of tasty fleshy food, because you "are" their business.. We as humans are already top tier predators so we can "afford" to be ....pretty... at the expense of survivability. Please stop assuming every animal already has your advantages... Its one thing to be canceled by your own species, however if you have nothing to back up your pretty colors, you just become a target to the hungry.... And less pretty members have a chance to mate and survive. .... Just remember there are entire crab species who have sacrificed one of their own defensive claws for survival just because their mates thought one honking HUGE if not entirely useless claw was sexy....... They still get eaten tho..... a lot.....

Also, when you see two people standing at a crosswalk, you don't know who came first, you just know that they are both adjacent. I saw a millipede outside for the first time - it was dead on the front steps. Seen plenty of house centipedes, fuck those. As soon as I saw one of those, spiders weren't that bad.
