@@meer7872 sure, for group play and plat+ it's not as hard. solo queue at Bronze-Gold is a different story. when you get team mates with no game sense and terrible positioning, whilst also staggering their deaths... it's not so easy. I had to start season 1 with my bronze mmr from 2016 because I merged my PlayStation and blizzard accounts. I've gotten to gold several times only to be knocked back down every time and only like 10% of my losses are really a healer diff

@@Kamikazeman1234 At that calibre with that luck, any role is difficult. Can't move as tank because supports don't keep you alive and damagers don't make picks or use your space. Can't move as damage when tank won't make space or supports aren't prioritising or positioning well. Support is generally the easiest because one can minmax his healing rotation and generally make his team so survivable that their bad gameplay is mitigated.

I feel like your climbing will be easier from high diamond and master's onwards as you get matched with players who actually know how to play with ball and shoot the enemies you boop/slam for them to get easy picks (with you not being able to shoot them yourself) so looking forward to that :)

Most regular unranked to GM are super boring. This is so much fun to watch. And there’s no doubt in my mind you will get to GM. Honestly once you get to high ranks and have DPS that can effectively follow up on your slams I don’t think you’ll have much of an issue

Ball is so frustrating to play against. The thing about it is that Ana and Brig can both severely hinder him but you have to be cracked to do it. I had a game a few days ago on Ana that I had 16 sleep darts landed and all were on the GM ball-he only had 1 death at the end of the game despite that. It’s SO hard to kill him even with a full team looking and with him asleep. Even with their tank asleep most of the game, we still almost lost because of how much chaos he was causing while sleep was on cooldown.

If a player is so fundamentally better at a hero than anyone else in the lobby at a certain elo, the argument that smurfing with a handicap makes it fair isn't the right argument to make. You could argue that the handy cap gives them a chance, but that doesn't change the fact that gm game sense, movement, and mechanics overwhelms the other team without needing to chase kills, especially at lower elos where players dont know to play against ball.

In a first person shooter, he is forgoing the number one means of user activity. I don't think there is any fairer caveat to going unranked to grandmaster. It's not even illicit in the first place, as it would be the game's issue placing a good player in a low lobby. Dropping to bronze and going up is illicit.

Hey Chazms (afk thrower here) to answer your question about what rank you could get by not doing anything. In reverse, the rank you can get by just staring at them is an astounding D5 before you have to start hard throwing. (Hard Throwing: any strategical tactic used to make your team lose. Ineedheals spamming, feeding, NVboops, greedleading regrouping, etc.) It's surprisingly easy to get Overwatch players (even GM ones) to do what you want if they believe you're just really bad (I think it's because they know that you won't attack them so it's kind of like this "action = reward" kind of repititon in their monotonous tryharding.)

i could be wrong but i feel as though both challenges are equally as hard especially once you get to diamond and masters. ball so shooting doesnt allow you to finish kills and rein no sheild makes taking space a nightmare whereas with the ball challenge you can take space and disrupt still and with the rein challenge you can finish your kills

It's kind of a separate game in its own right. I always though that if I was 'done' with Overwatch, like I was in 2017 until OW2 came out, I could have decided to play the Ball game, which is almost relearning and rereading the entire rest of the game in a new perspective.
