In 2014 this kind of flying was considered impressive.. We have come far :)

You are in the sky where you live... altitudes make for a tough build on a mini due to the thin air. You want to go with 4S power (35-70C rating- maybe more) and 12amp esc's and a touch lower on kv- say the Cobra 1960 or even the Lumenier 2206-2300kv's and 6in props. I hear the KISS 18amps work well- that extra voltage will help on high C rating punches. You are an r/c fpv natural brother... everything you fly you make it look good. (excellent camera skills push you over the top- pun intended)

Someone called them "crappy chinese stuffs" but everytime i saw people fly them, they fly so good and they are very happy with them... Thanks for the ride! Very nice video as usual! Happy weekend

Nice, this is a good educational piece, especially for those of us wanting to build on the cheap. Finding that line between good and cheap is difficult at best, and you've illustrated that brilliantly. Well done!

I'm getting an adrenalin rush just watching the flight video. Those picnic table awnings are big, but still really heart pumping to fly through, especially because you know you have to spend hour fixing and re-aligning shit if you crash... make that *when you crash :) Good stuff.. thanks for sharing the video.. keep it up m8! :)

I wonder if that additional noise that starts at the 3:02 mark is all the wifi signal from the houses interfering with the audio signal. Great little build! Whats the average flight time?

Looks like the drone was nicely balanced. Good run man.

I have the actual CF version and have been bouncing it off trees and concrete all summer and it is still going strong. To dampen the mobius mount i simply use a battery strap around the top frame plate and the mobius and mount. If your props are balanced there is no jello.

Nice flight footage! Digging that Quad you built. I'm putting together a 200qx coupled with a Rakon Frame. Then after throw in a Morbius/ FPV system.

The "PowerSysyem" package you have quoted only has 2x motors. Do you just add another 2 motors? Or do you buy 2x "Popwer Packs"

Nice one. I fly one of these on 4s using multistar 2206 motors and 5x4 props. It's a beast.
@ColtonBaldridge10 жыл бұрын
I would imagine that with the thinner air where you are, you could easily run some 5x4.5in props without hurting the motors. And what did you do to fix the stock Möbius vibrations?
@sethmo3810 жыл бұрын
I tossed the anti vibration balls and replaced them with 2 zip ties. Works well
@ColtonBaldridge10 жыл бұрын

@rctestflight10 жыл бұрын
Yeah I bet I could use 6" props with no problem. I just used a layer of velcro for isolating the Mobius. It works well for isolating vibrations
@ColtonBaldridge10 жыл бұрын
Really? Never would've thought so
@JeremysReviews10 жыл бұрын
rctestflight You might could use the 6x3 props on those 1804 motors but I would not go anymore aggressive. I'd suggest moving up to the 1806 2300kva motors as they have much more thrust and can run the 6" props pretty easily plus they have better bearings and hold up well in crashes. another thing you can try is the 5x4 props, they give more thrust compared to the 5x3 props.

I noticed you never showed a receiver hooked up to the board. Just curious how that setup worked for this! The receiver input pins are different on this compared to the regular Naze32.

I have the ZMR250 too, had many crashes but still going strong. BTW i didn't get it from Banggood, so not sure how the quality is compared with other sellers.

It seems there are various types, is yours the CF version? you should be able to see a continuity in the layers of the CF, if the colour changes toward the centre of the layers slightly then they are the composite type ;)

I have a few fully carbon fiber ZMR frames. They weigh a lot less than the glassy fiber frames. I think 1806 is the minimum size motor that flies well on this frame, and the 2204 motors do really well. My favorite props are HQ 5x4.5. If you fly 6x4.5 props, they produce a ton of thrust, but are very floaty unless you use escs with active braking. I also have a blackout which I love, but which also cost me five times the price for the frame.

Hi Daniel! I have the same frame with DYS BE1806 motors, they provide plenty of power, even with 5x3 props. Running them with Emax 12A simonK escs. This setup is only 2 dollars more on banggood than the power system you use, so I think it's worth checking out. Your flying skills are great, cool stuff. Keep it up.

I have the same setup but my default dampers don't get me those vibrations. I guess if you tighten the camera under the top plate instead of the camera plate then you will force down the dampers and they will reduce the vibrations a lot more, imho. I have post some videos with my setup, anyway.

How much is the total weight of the 250 mini quad (including mobius camera)? I'm asking because in some countries there are restrictions that only apply after a certain amount e.g. in Switzerland, less than 500g it's not considered a drone and you can fly it everywhere. Using the ZMR250 frame as well, together with 12A AfroESCs from HK and comparably cheap motors. It's my main mini quad as that's the only thing I can afford. Flies pretty good, footage is good with some foam instead of these terrible balls, but really underpowered for carrying FPV gear with an MWOSD setup. What do you do for a living that allows you to spend so much disposable income on RC?

naze32 from banggood?? I don't see that anywhere on their site.
Brian Evans hmm.... well ok, I guess. I suppose it depends who you listen to, and how pedantic you are: "What isn't Naze32: Flip32, Nanj32 and similar stuff that's been based on the published rev4 schematic is not Naze32. You can generally tell by the soldering, pcb and silk quality" code.google.com/p/afrodevices/wiki/AfroFlight32 Funny that naze32 is in the URL for that item, but they seem to have removed all other traces of 'naze32' from their site :) I bet it works just fine though.

Tiger Motor have recently had a huge price reduction on their line of miniquad motors (to the annoyance of their dealers holding old stock) making them a realistic choice. The Cobra 2208 on 4s are also a hot setup for insane power and speed you just need to choose the ESC's wisely.
