Very well done and I’ve used foam for both sidewalks as well as highways and with some basic weathering, it’s a great solution.

I can't believe how good that looks. My wife is a school teacher and we have stacks of this stuff laying around. I've been struggling to find a good way to make sidewalks for my HO Layout and have considered Woodland Scenics Smooth-It (expensive) for my sidewalks but I was worried about trying to do the building foundations as well because it can run into some money. I saw another guy do his sidewalks and roads out of drywall compound already pre-mixed from the hardware store but these are all messy solutions I see you did both with the foam and it will make an excellent foundation. You are, in the words of NASA Engineers, a "Steely Eyed Missile Man" sir. That is really brilliant. I'm going to see if my wife has the grey color and experiment with this. One thing that is really interesting about this solution, at least in my mind, is that a groove could be cut so the building sits down a little into the foam thus ridding the "floating building" effect that I do not like. I am going to watch some of your other videos. I hope you have one covering your Magnorail (I assume it is). I would really love to make a scene with some vehicles driving around but that pretty much means I'd have to use styrene for my road surface, at least where trucks and cars would be driving. I'm glad I found your channel.

Very useful the wash is definitely a good technique for bring out the details, not the best on some h0 houses but it works.
