Special thanks to our friends at Quiet Riot Firearms in McDonough, GA for providing the M16 lower for this video. In this Meltdown, we take an entry level upper from Palmetto State Armory and shoot it full auto until failure. It's very interesting to see how various levels of quality in the components really make a difference in these tests. Stay Tuned, much more on the way.

It would be nice if the tube that melts first was made to melt at an even higher temperature. Would be interesting if you swapped the polymer out for a metal handguard and maybe it would not catch on fire and heat up faster. It's good value no doubt but if you could stop it from catching fire

@@Beanie-Sandals Many Kalashnikov guns have wooden hand guards which generally catch fire after firing a large ammount of ammunition. Usually plastic does not catch fire unless it is a very low quality cheap gun like this. My point is that most guns that catch fire are Russian. As stated before Germany does not make wooden guns and they are usually of high quality so I doubt they would catch fire.

@@user-ll9hb3sd8h I understand, but these are not machine guns...full auto yes, but they are fired in bursts, not long continuous full auto fire. I know many vets and active military members and while the idea of full auto sounds good and fun, which it is on the range, is not much if any advantage on the battlefield. There is a reason why they train Marines in marksmanship, an accurate shot is far more effective than just sending 20 rounds down range and hoping for a good hit, if that makes sense. The full auto feature definitely has it's place, but it's one of the options and not the only option for a reason.
