i have a 79 z28 rs t top with full options plus 2 extra z28's for parts then got a 454 450 hp with the 02xx 400r turbo then got a fly wheel clutch setup and a t-10 4 speed got every thing for free . 9ne car has new interior but they pulled the blower engine out of it and gave me the car sti;; had the new interior / i have all the parts to make the t top ding free all perfect metal . i plan on restoring the car

To put a bonnet on by yourself, once you have it resting on the car, put both top bolts in, run wire from the bolts through the top holes on the hinges, pull it up in place, put the bottom bolts in, then do the top bolts.

Since the late 80’s I’ve seen dirt trackers use up many second gen Camaro’s. This is why good 10 bolts cost $700 now. You might find a dog leg for $200, On a good day and planets align and the seller doesn’t know. I hope you welded the axles so you can get the retaining pin and axles out if you break one. I would much rather spend $400 on a locker and be able to rebuild and reuse things than weld the spider gears.

I trick i do when installing a hood by myself is to bunch a blanket under one corner to hold it off the windshield while u get a bolt in the other side

When doing a hood by yourself use the latch to hold it stable

I love all your cars but this camaro needs some help lol. Needs some timing adjustments, carb adjustments, and exhaust 😆. I've been an mechanic since I was a kid and used to work at a muffler shop. I'll come tune it and put pipes on it for free just to hang out with you!

I sort of did the same thing with the brake cleaner. I was cleaning the oil outta the output shaft on my motorcycle. Cleaned i tried to dry it with the only thing I had on hand. My torch lighter. I got it worse for sure. I wasn't thinking about the can and a half that was sitting in my transmission... It lit like a cannon blew me back a couple feet, took the hair off my left arm entirely half of my right. I did clean 90% of my beard off of the underside of my jaw. I think I lost a little bit of my eyebrows/cheek beard. My neck/face got instant sunburn. I guess maybe just regular burn actually... Lol it was funny as hell. No one saw it but a couple friends heard it. When I came walking up the road to the next campsite they asked if I blew myself up right away. Mwahahaha!!!

A mini spool is way better then welding... we have had welded gears break at the dirt circle track but not one have we had a mini spool break...

Key don't always work to shut off car... I had a 2 door s10 with a 350hp 350 and that's the first time I learned not to test drive with screwdriver in carb... I floored it and screwdriver dropped in and held throttle open... was a fun ride. Key wouldn't shut it off

I've installed and removed Firebird hoods by myself without breaking the glass, its fun because yes they are heavy. There's a trick to it, but also I am considerably bigger upper body wise than you are. :) beating on disco era Camaros is fun, its about all they're good for anyway. I have a near mint condition 78 Camaro, its going to provide parts for 2 TransAms and a 455 HO 72 Formula. Its getting carved up later this spring. Oh and flares, I forget the nut sometimes.. it happens more often as you get older. In 30 years you will wonder what you are doing in the shop, and then you will start an entirely different project. Its worse than ADHD and squirrels.
