See how white the sapwood is on that walnut. That is what you would have seen on the inside of the bark. I would love for you to show us in a year or two if you get problems with the bark on that log. I never was able to keep bark on wood so just wondering and also would like to know if it shrank more and cracked more because it will dry some more. Checks on wood usually go from the heart out to the rim and you have two heart pieces in that stump. Wondering if that will be an issue too. Look I am wondering for myself not saying it will happen just something I would be concerned with being a woodworker as a trade.

@willofwills99255 жыл бұрын
to stop cracking on any cut wood pour wax over the cut and bind some wire around the cut tightly do all of this on both ends ALSO while this has been done leave the bark on or there will be cracking through the length off the wood IT MUST CURE WITH THE BARK ON! Once cured do as you will. All pending how big it is to how long to cure, it will take longer to cure no matter what the size But there will be NO cracks.
@Shane_O.51585 жыл бұрын
good job , now replace the top of the toilet and seat and flush handle and door handles with wood.
@davidcorbin64895 жыл бұрын
Retro old tyme toilet with a pull chain, wooden seat.
@willofwills99255 жыл бұрын
looking at what you use for this sink. I would have wired a few rings for the depth of the sink and covered the whole part of where the bowl for sink would be, also any exposed wood at that end with wax and left to to cure. I wouldn't have worried about the other end. one simple rule here man, what dose water do?! it follows the path of lest resistances. any tree that's cut down is ( green ), meaning its still wet.

Anytime a woman takes that long to respond the answer is always No. Also when they ask why you picked a particular color it means they don’t like it. Good effort though.
