This campground is literally 1/2 KM. to the east from my old cabin on Old Hedley Rd. I had to sell it a few years ago but enjoyed the area for 25 years. Miss going there now. LOL @ 5;48 you are standing at the end of my driveway.

Neat! It's a beautiful area and somewhat unknown, too making it a pretty quiet and relaxing getaway.

@@HomeARoam About 200 meters east you can find old Indian paintings on the rocks, right beside the road. Be careful and look for rattlesnakes in the rocks. Yes, there are rattlesnakes in that area.

Nice place, the river floating looks great!
@HomeARoam2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, most people go to Penticton to float, so we were pleasantly surprised to see that it could be done here, too!

The only place I have floated out there is Penticton, great fun but so crowded! The pick up bus is nice though.

Absolutely beautiful, water to cool for me, thanks for sharing

Definitely a bit cool, but it was so hot the water helped bring down our body temperatures to normal 🥵

Your videos are always great.! I am planning a boondocking trip to this rec site soon. When was this video taken? It really doesn’t seem to match our current weather and stream levels. Thx!

Thanks! And yes, good catch, we visited last summer (2021) in mid-July. It was very hot, and fire season was in full swing. 🔥 We had just got away from heavy smoke in Osoyoos and were pretty happy to have a nice cool stream to relax in. I suspect water levels are quite a bit higher right now! 😁 Very nice site though, highly recommended.

@@HomeARoam thanks for the prompt reply. I’m in Chilliwack, so this rec site is not that far. But I think I’ll wait for nice weather. Thx.

Is there somewhere to get water and also dump your tanks after camping?
@HomeARoam Жыл бұрын
Great question. At this site, no. There may be one at the Princeton municipal campground. We use iOverlander and Sanidumps.com to find nearby stations when when we're out. Hope this helps.

Is camping free there past September?
@HomeARoam Жыл бұрын
Not free, pricing is mentioned in the video and most up to date online at the BC Parks and rec website.
