Of course and remember to always call a local licensed locksmith in your area. Ask for a flat price not a starting price or something like that because it’s a scam ! And mention that you need a remote control as well, if you need one because sometimes they give you the price only for a regular key without remote so be prepared 👍🏻

I was also surprised that a local locksmith would do anything for automotive. I have called the hardware store, the auto parts store recommended, and now I'm going to call our local locksmith to check it out. Were in a rural local, 50 miles from a metro area. Not sure what our locksmith has going. Worth a try. I have appreciation for the trade. Thanks. Good videos!

Ohhh my god I didn't know locksmith did this!!!. Ford told me it's 199$ for labor and I hung up on them I didn't even want to hear the price of the actual key, my key fob broke well the key part anyways and I was starting my car with pliers until yesterday. The piece that I was using to grip the key broke so now I can't grip the key anymore so now my car is just sitting outside. I'm going to call a lock smith to get prices

No not really because most keys and remotes need to be programmed to the ECU (to the vehicle) therefore I recommend you to find a local locksmith to help you out

You need a “key code” that’s probably what they needed… You can get the key code from the dealership
