They still forget blacksmith upgrades though. If red had remembered them, this game wouldn't have been even close, he would have just cleaned up that first big fight decisively.

@@giantWario He didn't forget them as he got iron casting. He might just have known Leitis ignore armor so just didn't bother.

@@malchir4036 Knowing something exists and then no longer remembering about it later is what the word ''forgets'' means. He couldn't have forgotten about them if he never knew they existed in the first place. And even if he knew that Leitis ignore armor (which is incredibly doubtful) he still should have gotten blast furnace and at the very least fletching, his castles were doing almost nothing.

With so many civs and especially with the big patch oncoming, it would be really great if the loading screen before the battle would have a short summary about the civ bonuses. I often struggle to remember what my opponent civ has, especially if it's a more obscure one.

For me the most important thing is how uncertain the timing is for the game load at the end. Its like u r waiting and it could start any moment. I always panick at the start because of that.

Considering the fact that in this particular case a Halb does only 7 damage every 3 seconds, it is not a bad idea. Tho he should have used his own halbs as meatshield instead.

I did win one game in arena using siege towers as early as possible. Granted, it was really low elo, but my opponent didn't have his army composition ready and there was a element of surprise involved. So, aggression can sometimes work in arena.

This game is just, infinitely more fun to watch than play. Like, every time I watch your videos, I get the feeling I want to go play. So I do, I jump into an arena team game, and... shortly after I hit castle age I have a castle outside my walls, 3 bombards, and 20 hand cannoneers pushing me, my other teammate has no army, and third teammate has 20 forward military production buildings and 3 units. Like the first real aggression in this game was 19 minutes, while every game I play I'm getting castle dropped and sieged down in 10 minutes lol.

a nice update would be if troops that survive through different ages are more resistant to monks and less likely to convert because they have been loyal for so long, or troops that recieve an upgrade while already created

This is basically a version of a veterancy mechanic, which historically isn't a very good idea. On paper giving bonuses to units that live a long time sounds like a good idea, but in practice it promotes an unstable equilibrium. If player 1 is able to keep their units alive long enough to gain veterancy and player 2 isn't, then player 1 would already be winning. Veterancy kicks the losing player while they're down and makes it even harder to make a comeback. What you're suggesting is fairly tame compared to something like Halo Wars, but it still isn't healthy.

It is worrying that the quality of the average player is increasing compared how players were in the same ELO because it means that new players aren't coming to play, War Thunder have the same problem when the battle rating compression is discussed and the only feasible solution is to increase player base. You need to find young players and rescue old farts to come back to play it. Heck, the current player base is capable of figuring out how make tutorials and memes to increase the player base.
