You never showed how you attached the supporting beams to the container in your previous videos. This is great information. Thanks!

Totally cool 😎... really like that decking... I'm making an office out of a 20 footer so this is absolutely awesome to see the exact how to do it! Thanks and blessings

Think the PL3x would be good enough to hold without the screw? I am trying to avoid any holes in the container

Thanks for advising the increased cost of putting two or more containers together.

Its really not that bad if you have good welders. I am finishing a home for myself right now using 10 containers. Ill have a really really nice, extremely durable and crazy insulated home for well under $200 ft2 and I have used both perimeter and heated/insulated slab for the project. I have done a decent amount of the work myself but that also includes the appliances and everything except for the complex solar system and batteries (home is entirely off grid)

Hey, love your vids! You should get some extension wands and a swivel for your airless. This way you can paint the whole wall from the ground without a ladder!

I don't see any drip edge above the decorative decking. Won't water run down between the decking material and the support posts creating a possible rot situation over time?

Shouldn’t exterior wood be treated?

It is trex, so its a poly composite wood

Could something similar be done with T1-11 or Smartside? Thanks.

Where did you insert the screws that hold those horizontal planks to the container? Are they just on the exterior face of the planks? Or did you put them at some kind of angle from underneath so the screw heads wouldn't be showing?
@really23452 жыл бұрын
Few screws were necessary or show because that material uses clips between each board.

How much paint does it take to put a good coat on a 40’ HC container?
@mattbrew112 жыл бұрын
Depends on what paint and how youre applying it. I am finishing my home in the next 45-60 days. I used 10 x 40’ containers but they are double stacked in two pairs meaning 8 to build two sides of a 2 story building and two along the single floor of the back side. Effectively that means I only painted the top of four containers and obviously not underneath or between the sistered pairs. To paint just the containers with 3 light coatings using an airless rig and Baer indoor outdoor industrial paint I used almost 7 full 5 gallon paint buckets. If wanted to do a single like his using my method and type of paint I did expect to use 3 gallons

Do the screws protrude on the inside? Wait you have foam in there so wouldn't matter is that right? Also being in hot weather do you feel the foam is better than the closed cell spay foam. Im in Houston and the architect is trying to get the right r value.

Bro donot you think. We can make 2*40 from just 1 shipping container. Cannot we take out one large left or right container wall and convert into two that will give much space. Do u agree ?
