Prep and Paint my 40ft shipping container

Today I'm spraying my off-grid 40ft shipping container. It is currently orange and im spraying it green.
I want to build an off-grid homestead in Northern Ireland where I will grow and feed my family with chemical free and full of nutrients-packed food on a daily basis. I want to create a healthy lifestyle that my three kids will look back on fondly and to a place they will eventually call home.
My history.
I have a level 3 cert in sports turf horticulture from where I started my work as a greenkeeper working on golf courses. I have spent alot of my working career both around and driving different types of construction machinery. I have also learnt a thing or two working with plenty of highly skilled trades men. This accompanied with my own skill set, creativity, resorcefulness and efficient approach will aid me in turning this 4.25 acres of unused land into the most fertile landscape in the area, using regenative and holistic farming methods to grow my own meat and veg.

Thanks. I'm only after watching you prep the container and build the sprayer. You should consider putting a roof over the top of the container like I'm going to do. That way you can harvest the rain water and it would also stop the sun turning the container into an oven! How long have you been working on going off grid?

@LaidBackHomesteader we have been working on it for about 3 years now. It is a function for us. The roof over our shipping container is planned by not in the works yet. Slowly but surely it is all coming together. You painter your container almost the same color we used. That's what caught my eye at first lol

Haha, I didn't paint the roof and still barely had enough paint! The last corner was stretched out to the max. 👍 If paint was cheap I'd have put another 10 litres on it. Cheers Gregg.

What paints or brands of paints you used for the container

I used oxide primer and cheap single pack opaque topcoat.

Oil based single pack. I diluted it by 15% or there abouts to get the paint a nice consistency for spraying.
