Hey there! Taco Habitat employee here! Fun fact, the building isn't just styled to look like shipping containers, it actually built out of recycled shipping containers! Pretty much everything in the building is recyclable, including the building itself. We're also building our second location in Branson (once we get the permit to build the parking lot). We also aren't a chain like Taco Bell or McDonald's, but you can also use our rewards at Hot Cluckers and Burbon and Beele. But yeah, they revamped some shipping containers, made the glass walls for the upstairs/balcony area, even revamped the floors at one point. I got hired 3 months after it was built.

Hey there, Taco Habitat employee! That's good to hear. Honestly it feels good buying from a place that recycles everything. AND it's good to see people who are passionate who work there. 😃 Honestly, that is AWESOME!!! If we get the chance we will use Taco Habitat for more of our videos.

Amigo's is just south of Pancho's. The cars in the parking lot say it all. Great food.

As a recovering San Diegan, my favorites are Pancho's and Purple Burrito. Fish tacos and carne asada burritos both places are awesome. I also love Tortillaria Perches. I've eaten at most of the places you mentioned, and they're wonderful. I really miss living in Republic.

Yay! I'm glad you enjoyed these places. 😄 I have heard a lot of good things about Tortillaria Perches. I'll have to check it out!

@@wiserlivingrealty Btw, Perches is the family name of the owners of the restaurant. Very nice folks. Whenever I got my tires rotated etc at the Firestone place in front of it, if it was anywhere near lunchtime, I'd eat there. I always tried to schedule my tire rotations, alignments, and tire balancings at lunchtime.

I'm thinking of transplanting from SD to MI, is Republic close to Springfield? Did you end up moving back or not liking something? Also how bad are the bugs bugs eat me bad! Also #2 You dont have to answer any of these qs if you dont feel comfortable doing so.. thx!
@matthewrobinson4323 Жыл бұрын
@@tyunafishe8389 1. Republic is a suburb of Springfield, about 12 miles southwest of Springfield. 2. It took a while to adjust to the cultural differences between San Diego & Springfield. 3. I did not find the bugs to be any problem. I think someone might have been kidding you about the bugs. 4. We moved away because our kids and grandkids had moved away, and we wanted to be near them. However, since then, one of our grandkids has moved back to Republic, and in all honesty, if I could get the rest of the family to move back to Republic, I would do so in a heartbeat. 5. We moved to Noblesville IN, just outside Indianapolis. It's not bad here (except the winter is colder than Missouri), but it just isn't the Ozarks. Springfield is like what San Diego used to be like in the 1960's, and Indianapolis is like what San Diego has become. 6. I realize I don't have to answer any questions, but I'm puzzled as to why you felt it was necessary to include that. 🤣

We went to Habaneros on S Campbell and got lunch menu. For around $10 each we had enough leftovers to have 1 or 2 more meals! The Hill on Battlefield also has an incredible lunch buffet. Senior price was $11,99 for huge variety of food. i think regular adult was $13,99

@@wiserlivingrealty Oh yes two or three things. And as for real estate prices in the red states; they're very reasonable. Any given house here in New Zealand would cost 4-5 times as much. And almost none have a basement.

I think Harunos by the mall is the best restaurant in Springfield. They are generous in their lunch pricing especially, they take great care in quality, and everything is fresh and presented well. Best sushi ever! Don't be fooled. They have a plethra on the menu. I've never had a bad meal nor bad experience there. They are opening up another restaurant in Springfield, thankfully. Springfield is affordable, especially for guests who live in a state where the cost of living is greater. People move here from the coasts a lot of times and have enough to send their kids to college or get a bigger house here. I'm not a fan. Just that is what we're good for really.

I haven't finished this video, but I will say that Haruno's is the best place to go for lunch. It's not as pricey during the day, but at night you get more formal dinners, not like that exclusive, but everything is more expensive at night. Longhorn Steakhouse has good cuts of meat. It's like the place they don't screw up steak. Finished the video. All this stuff in this video is loaded with lard, sugar, oil, butter, oil, oil, more butter. If you are financially challenged or just want some laid back food, Bao Bao in Chesterfield Village is a good eat, a bit hidden. It's healthy, or they have healthy food. OMO is cheap, too, if you are not getting sushi. I would not recommend their sushi.They have great springrolls and Ramen, especially, if you are not Muslim, the pork one. If you are on a diet, or if you don't want to gain ten pounds, go to Black Sheep. However, even I couldn't eat that much fat, sugar, and oil. Again, Harunos is probably the best food here at an affordable price, especially during lunch.

The title of the video was exactly what I was looking for. The list of places strayed away from topic too many times. I had just watched your best food video but when I watched this cheap eats you mentioned some more mid priced places. Every city in every state has those too good to be true places. Fair quality , large portion and lower priced compared to every other place. They are always hidden and there is not many of them, but the locals know about it. Can you be more focused and less "all inclusive" when creating vids on a particular subject. Can you do a video on the dirtiest restaurant kitchens in Springfield??? where to avoid ??? You ever see those Gordan Ramsey restaurant rescues with mold and dead rats?
